Man, Sting is just nuts. The match was short and it was a few big spots here and there, but the crowd was alive for every part of it and getting to see Sting do what he does is a treasure.

I was there and the crowd stood for the entire match
He’ll turn 65 a few wks after his final match. It’s insane he can still go at that level. Absolute legend! Arguably the biggest wrestling star in the world at one point, when WCW was whoopin’ WWF with the NWO vs WCW/‘Crow’ Sting angle. He’s come a helluva long way since The Blade Runners.
I don't mean to insult anyone else to build Sting, but look how opposite he is of the Warrior. One guy barely did a few years in the business. The other is called "icon". That's the difference of determination, and work ethic.
Stings head hit the concrete and Darby Allen neck hit the bottom rope. This is terrible and unsafe. I don't want wrestlers hurt
JR sounding much better on commentary since his initial run in AEW.

I do really miss his ol' higher pitched voice when he got really worked up though. The classic Monday Night Raw "Stone Cold!!! Stone Cold!!!" JR. That damn aging gets the best of everyone.. 😑

This arena gives AEW so much personality, it makes it look less like a generic place, it makes me think that this is legitimately something different from the other promotions.

I have so much respect for the look of genuine concern on Darby's face when talking to Sting after the win, you can tell just how much he cares for that legend.

OMG Darby’s head hit the bottom rope that was super brutal and that Scorpion Death Drop off the stage through the table was epic but the landing Hobbs had on his neck was nasty. It’s crazy that Sting had that amazing debuted in Daily’s Place during the pandemic and now he’s having one of his last matches in Daily’s Place. Thank You Stinger for the moments and memories you’ve given us throughout your career. Young Bucks looking fresh 🔥

@@nathanrobinson862 That's kind of the point though. To me it's not how many fans there are, it's how into the show those fans are and the atmosphere they provide. Here they're closer, cameras are closer, mics pick up fan audio better, etc. Not better or worse than a Wrestlemania venue, just different, which is what some people want.

I can't remember Sting taking the bumps he's been taking in AEW compared to his younger days in the business. Also, his last match should be a one on one match, but due to his age, it's probably gonna be a tag match with Darby as his partner

I was there last night. The crowd could not see a single thing out of the ring because when wrestlers were out of the ring, the camera action was not being displayed on the big screen. As a result, the crowd was chanting all night "We can't see!" over and over again until they would briefly turn on the screen and then shut it off. The crowd could have been so much more into the entire event if we could just see.

It would be nice, everybody wants that to happen, but sadly Sting can't carry a full singles match anymore, that's why we got so many tag matches. If we would get that match it would probably be a very bad one and I think nobody wants Stings last match to be a bad one. Lets hope for a very spectacular and unique tag match, with him winning and maybe finnish with a nice goodbye and tourch passing speach.

Been watching pro wrestling for over 30 years now, and never really cared for Ric Flair. That being the case, I KNEW he was going to throw an eye poke here and loved every second of it :) And holy hell, Sting doing that move at his age!!!
Sting literally was hurt if you couldn’t tell by the late pin and then calling in the doctor…plus the look on Darbys face when Sting finally got in ring.
The man is made of steel and I just hope he is good to keep going a couple more months almost!
