Good review of a product I didn't know existed. Three questions (and I might have missed these). 1 - Is it waterproof. 2- You make mention of GPS, so does it give real time readout of speed. Just thinking that it would be nice to have a clear digital readout of speed, rather than having to squint at my traditional speedo. 3 - I take it that with Apple Play, it will give clear readouts of navigation once linked to the phone. Have you used this feature and how easily/quickly does it connect. Cheers.
Hi, And thanks for the comments Yes it is IP67 warerproof, and I should maybe have mentioned that. As to GPS... Yes you can have speed alerts etc etc, as it uses Apple Car Play, or Android Auto, so if your preferred map set up has speed alerts, it will show on this device. Again for the MPH if your Maps provider shows MPH, this will too. I use Sygic with a subscription service for my maps, so it shows lane merging, traffic issues, speed etc etc. It all seems to connect VERY well, but is obviously somewhat dependant on your network coverage Hope this helps a little 😁
Hi any chance of a android auto review on this device? I ask as this is an area where most of these Chinese units fail. Areas such as , does unit keep a stable connection to phone and are andorid auto controls responsive..? Does a rider headset paired to phone work for Google voice etc. Is screen resolution suitable (ie are icons usable especially in android auto, and not too small) Be very interested in thoughts around this area... cheers J
