    This is not just for music, for podcasts too. But the reason I regulate my music consumption is because of the emotions some songs evoke and how I would over resonate/ project emotions in a song into my psyche…

    Bro is spitting facts. As with all things, do not put music onto your ears most of your waking hours. Learn to moderate and use it only if you want some inspiration. I myself have liked listening to music to fall asleep. But after about a decade, I tried to ditch as I felt so unsure of its effects. It can leave me sometimes to groggily wake up just listen to another round of songs to boost my energy but still can make me weary at the end of the day. The cycle continues. And after completely getting rid of it, I was now sleeping as sound as when I was a kid. He's not trying to keep us away from listening to the songs we love. He was, after taking some conscious decision to change his life, now banging girls left and right. Anything detrimental to your goals - which is anything unmoderated - cannot let you achieve growth exponentially. At the end of the day, like all things let's be wary of changing our lifestyles unless that's what we really want.

    Having a musical background is a net positive for this. We associate music as a work task (thinking of the key, rhythm, pitch, etc.) whenever we hear it, and so we get very distracted if we try mixing it with another activity.
    And it's not just professionals. Ask anyone who took lots of music lessons when they were younger.

      @thedarkneedle  5 месяцев назад +13

      Hey man, I totally get you. ADHD makes it really tough to focus without some form of stimulation. It sucks feeling like your brain's wiring is working against you. Have you tried different approaches like exercise, certain types of music, or even mindfulness techniques? It’s all about finding what helps you balance that need for stimulation. Hang in there, and keep experimenting to find what works best for you. Thanks for sharing your experience! ❤️

    • @zonasfight
      @zonasfight 5 месяцев назад +4

      Yeah it really is quite difficult and with ADHD it at times really feels necessary to use music in such a way to focus.
      I have however this past half a year found after loads of experimenting a sort of balance where I now make sure to at least half the amount of time in a week that I’d listen to music, and try to find stimulation by attempting to appreciate the ‘dull’ moments such as walking/cycling outside, appreciating the nature and/or the weather, or just sitting and letting my thoughts come up and reflecting on myself etc.
      It’s still really oddifying at times to me, because now I’m able to appreciate such, but throughout the past ~6 years I really ALWAYS listened to music, and it feels like I just blocked myself off from the world; when I was outside, I wasn’t really outside, I was with my music instead - or something like that.
      Just thought to share such, ah I don’t even know why but I guess it just felt justified to reply to such here for me. (And yeah then the (feeling like the) need for justification of placing smth of the such anywhere at all is also something I’m seemingly still struggling with ^^)

    😂😂Oh My God i never thought ide see the day when someone demonizes Music. If you were saying stop listening to drill that promotes violence that would have been understandable, but no, bro wants to banish all music to the shadow realm 😂 i am going to be waiting for a video where you say this was a social experiment to show that people will agree with whatever you say, as long as you sound confident and drop some surface level facts.
    Our life on this planet is short, life is hard you never get what you want & depending on where u are born some people don't even stand a chance. Music however is one of those pleasures in life available to everyone it calms you, detaches you from reality and makes people happy and forget their problems, some of us live in literal war zones (this is a metaphor for bad environments, u know parents arguing, bad neighborhoods etc) & I'm only at peace when I'm immersed in music.
    and you also want to take that away from us 😂 bro u have to be joking.
    Listening to music can lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, helping to reduce stress and anxiety, everyone here knows this, now just imagine your life without music you're cooked.
    Music therapy can help manage pain by promoting relaxation and distraction from pain stimuli, often used in clinical settings. I remember when my dad had a car accident (he was in a coma for 4 months) when he woke up music therapy was part of his pain management treatment, it was very relaxing & calming, it played in his hospital room 24/7, its like an ambience, no words (idk how to explain it bro, all i know is it touches your soul💞)
    Upbeat music can increase motivation, improve endurance, and reduce the perception of effort during physical activity. This is why their gym playlist, i listen to music like animals when im on the treadmill it literally boost my energy, simply amazing.
    Music can positively affect heart rate, blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular health, often inducing relaxation and reducing the risk of heart disease, this happens when u go through the motions, feelings, depending on the track u are listening to. Without music u are just a vegetable.
    Music can improve cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. This is especially evident in activities that involve learning and memory recall. This is why a lot of children learn through nursery rhymes etc
    Music can trigger the release of dopamine, the brain's "feel-good" neurotransmitter, improving mood and emotional well-being. This is a good thing, i dont know why bro doesn't want us to be happy. The dopamine released by music is significantly low compared to other comparisons he gave like smoking etc, so its not dangerous at all.
    Engaging with music through activities like dancing or playing an instrument can improve motor skills and coordination. Without music mf u will be walking with a stick at 40 😂
    I am a computer engineer, i cant imagine going through a 12hr shift without music. This video made me laugh, this cant be real. We cant have nice things on this planet can we smh...
    This is what happens when u let AI cook😂 take bro out of this kitchen rn, this food is trash...

      People are scared to be bored nowadays, they can't make things without music, as if it's a normality but it isn't really. Only in the last century we are being entertained and distracted all the time, and the fact that people believe that only music can relax me really make me cringe. like for example people can't even train or run without using music anymore, so music it's like any drugs or p0rn, it's really addictive and you can make an argument that it's even worse because it's harder to quit and we are constantly bombarded by it, while in the case of drugs and porn you have to go search and look for them yourself. You can watch a video or a series and you'll find music in it. Horror movies without background creepy music they wouldn't be as scary. So yeah people who say "i can't live without music" or "i can't do this thing without music" clearly means they are addicted and people are really trying to justify it just because it causes lesser damage then alcool, drugs and p0rn. music is overrated and a distraction to escape from reality and it's not as good as you think. and there really is no such thing as moderate use, literally no one could live without music or without seeing something that has to do with it. Like are yall scared to not have your brain entertained XDDDDDDDDDD, you're not going to die or feel depressed. I imagine all of you living in the past, you would have committed suicide immediately because you cannot breathe without listening to a certain symphony XDDDDDD

      Classical music and music creation aswell as using music for treatment is not the problem.

    I’d say music genres in moderation is more of a healthy way to include music in your life. As a musician, you do list some key points of interest especially the parts of the brain that become overstimulated by music. Music as all things can be addictive, but when you listen to it in moderation, and include ambient sounds and binaural beats you can also heal your brain from the music and grow within yourself, not saying you shouldn’t experience life without music. We should all try and experience life to the fullest and sometimes dis-including music is the best way to go. But you shouldn’t have to completely cut music from your life, just like the video says use it as medicine. Sometimes not to listening to music for a period of time for me helps to find a new inspiration within myself so there are beneficial effects of dis-including.

This music cannot be unhealty or something like that. I am saying this as a musical-friend, pianist, moslem and composer.

    No wonder why all of my Playlists sound so good after almost a year of not going out of my way to listen to music! Love just goes on and I have other things to do instead, you know?
    Wait... Would this be considered a relapse?

    I'll poke my ears with hot pokers, the sound of my loved ones is far to addicting, I hear it daily and I am addicted. This has to stop.

      I get what you mean. It's all about balance. Just like with music, it's important to find a healthy way to enjoy the sounds and interactions with your loved ones without feeling overwhelmed. Moderation is key-it's not about cutting out things you love entirely, but about finding a way to enjoy them without letting them take over your life. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

      Umm... not a Muslim here bit even I know this is false. There are a large contingent of A-lister Muslim musicians. Pretty sure there's nothing in Islam that says you can't listen to or even make music. The Quran is written in poetry which is the music of words

      @@user-hk9zr4wq2j again false. Then explain the Muslim musicians in the world. The definition of poetry is arranging language in meaning, sound, and rhythm, which is essentially what music is. The Quran is literally written in peom. That's facts
