People carving stone long, long before the 10th century.
Yep, also here in Denmark. We have "Helleristninger" that date back 5.000 years. But the Jelling stones are unique for the depiction of Christ, and mentioning Christianity in Denmark.
I might have to go check this out, next time I’m in Denmark this summer
