All the Americans are so unaware of this, the best thing that’s happened to music in recent decades… Basia Bulat is simply the most all around talented artist of our time.
I agree. And as someone who has been a very avid fan of music and artists similar to Basia for my whole life basically, I only just found her a few months ago. I was shocked how she could have flown under my radar. It is simply beyond my comprehension how some of her songs didn't become bigger hits, and she hasn't garnered a bigger following. That's not to say that she isn't successful because she definitely is. But I would have expected her to be more at the "fame" level of someone like Regina Spektor. This is the case for so many artists though, sadly. I wonder if it can be attributed to something like a bad pr agent or manager.
I have watched many videos of her performing and I am convinced she has to be one of the most exquisite creatures on the entire planet. This may be may favorite performance as well.
Love this song so much that I bought a bunch of her songs on iTunes and preorded the newest album !!! And I usually like reggae , hip hop and latin dance type ... But this caught my ear ' absolutely love her voice and strumming :-)
+Raofin Mahmud it's a great song, but it's not a ukulele, it's a charango (south american instrument and you can see the difference because of the double snares) :) but very hypnotising sound
You're welcome, it's not easy to see the difference, i just know it because i play music too and my roommate has a few of them (and they are fun to play on!!

Canada produces some of the most amazing artists.
Ken Wells And we Canadians have to apologize sometimes for Celine Dion and Justin Bieber.

She has an enchanting voice, one reminiscent of celtic sirens.
That voice- she can fill a concert hall with that voice- so beautiful
Yes, and she sang this song mic-less infront of 1500 people at Massey Hall in Toronto
This song seriously brought tears to my eyes. In a good way.
I have watched many videos of her performing and I am convinced she has to be one of the most exquisite creatures on the entire planet. This may be may favorite performance as well.
Ageless, timeless, her voice is a voice of all time since we first sang on the plains.
phcsdf oh this hurts so much to read from a white guy
I discovered her through Pandora, then listened to her album, Oh My Darling, and I'm in love. She has one of the most beautiful voices!
+Loki of Asgard if Loki likes it you know you're impressive!!.
It's a charango, you're right. That instrument is typical in the north of my country, Argentina (also Peru and Bolivia) and it sounds great!
Wow, what a beautiful song. Those people are so lucky to have seen it live, and on such a gorgeous day, too!
She has such a sweetness, how beautiful it is to hear it ...

If i see a video of Basia playing a Tuba i swear i will end it all lol. Is there anything this wonderful artist cant do?
I would never say that. She probably could learn to play the tuba within a week and then it would be all over :)
shes amazing
polska artystka! no, prawie...
The instrument is a charango, from the lute family.
I know that instrument, it's called charango 😁 I think I'll look her up on facebook 😎 she is awesome 😀
Looks like a charango. I had no idea she played it until I saw a couple videos with it. What can't she do??
Anyone know what instrument this is?
One of the chord progressions sounds just like one Joanna Newsom uses in Sawdust and Diamonds.
