Henk Poort is actually a trained Opera singer but people gotta work. He became the first Dutch Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera with over 1000 performances, he was also Valjean in Les Miserables. So he is more a singer who has learnt to act. He had never added distortion to his voice before singing Sound of Silence for Floor on Beste Zangers in 2019. He was her childhood hero having seen him in Phantom and since Beste Zangers they have become close friends. He did a duet of POTO with floor on the show on condition he could sing it with Nightwish when they came to the Neherlands. Then came Lockdown and finally in November last year they kept their promise. Perhaps a double header with both the Beste Zangers version and then last years version from the Ziggo dome in Amsterdam.
