The hardest part about reading the disability letter is thinking, yes, yes, yep, to all the things that the judge saw that made them come to the favorable decision. Its like a list of the worst things about yourself that nobody else can see, you live with everyday. Thankful for SSDI and ever-supportive husbands!! It took me @ the same time as you; 2015-2018.

Congratulations!! I have been trying to change from SSI to SSDI the last year (From Title 16 to Title 2). And, It has finally dawned on me that the amount of people with MS working full time/earning a living is 0. Glad you are getting some support!
Sorry, not true. It all depends what form of M.S. and what deficits/physical problems you have from it. I worked full time as a nurse for years with the occasional medical leave because I was fortunate to recover without deficits after each relapse. Time takes its toll, however, even for the most fortunate.
Sad that you had to battle in the midst of the fatigue and other problems, happy that you were able to get the approval for your benefits!

I was just denied , I was diagnosed in may 2017 , started having flare ups in Jan 2017 fast forward April 2019, I have tried to work for the past two years and it is too stressful and I am getting new lesions on my brain and I also have some on my spine. I am so tired already

Dear Mallery, so glad you are having this wonderful experience with court! I was sent to early retirement two years ago with no court or even other doctors appointments! So I must be pretty sick 🤒😲!

Yay!!!! I was put on disability before I had my MS diagnosis due to severe lymphedema. I was shocked I was approved as fast as I was. But I was geared up for the fight. All I can say is Yay!!!! You fought for your right to be on disability! You educated a judge who may not have known the severity of what MS does to us. I am currently on Techfidera. It's causing me these super painful and annoying flushes and my hair is falling out. If its not the MS that will get us its the medication! And on a positive note you should get back pay from the date they declared you disabled! Once your attorney take their fee(if you had one) you should get a FAT CHECK! I am so proud of you lady!!!

Did you use a lawyer? I haven't worked full time for over a decade--was a stay at home mom. Now in process of divorce and full-time is not an option. I'm so overwhelmed to try and apply since I've heard so many horrible stories and I know the stress will make it even worse.

So happy for you that you are believed! I, too, have MS and struggle with being believed and also believing myself. I just switched to Gileyna after several years on Avonex. For some reason, I think you are in Michigan, I am being treated at the multiple sclerosis clinic in Owosso and live in Lansing. Do you attend a support group?
I have MS and was approved also .
