    11:30 the most time consuming part of music is arranging it so that it sounds good. The actual playing of the piece technically only takes about as long as the recording you hear (or at least, it should unless you are doing some wacky editing). 2/3s of the hard part of making music is setting up (in arranging the music itself and preparing the studio). The other 3rd is mixing it after. This ratio changes depending on how much post processing needs to be done to achieve the sound you are looking for but that's a good rough estimate. Everything else is (relatively speaking) easy.

      True, but if you think about anything you are "good" at. The thing that makes you good is not how much you know, but how much less time it takes for you to do something than someone else.
