Its not that Shadow Disrespects Tails, in fact its the exact opposite. he highly respects the fox and does his best to remove Sonic's greatest ally as fast as possible. There is also one other reason that he takes out Tails.. is that it messes with Sonic's head and makes the blue blur emotional and less likely to think or plan. Not only is Tails a major escape plan and mechanical aid to Sonic.. hes also Sonic's friend. So Taking out the fox not only removes a major threat, it also directly strikes Sonic's emotional core.. making him an easier to perdict threat in battle.
Shadow in the trailer is just demonstrating tactical ability.. To isolate your biggest threat you take out their back up first. Hence why he took out Knuckles then Tails and left Sonic to the end

It makes him the perfect other half to Sonic, who is known for acting without thinking usually.

Shadow doesn't hate Tails. It's just that the hedgehogs were initially pitted against each other. Of course, I don't know what will happen in the movie, but in "Sonic X" and "Sonic Adventure 2" it was exactly like that. Shadow decided to first simply remove Sonic's sidekicks to make it easier for himself to fight the blue hedgehog.
Context: Shadow needed to lure out sonic in the Sonic Boom episode so he attacked his teammates to draw him out Shadow is a strategist so he knows to go for the side characters/assistants first before the main foe
Shadow knows that Tails is Sonic's best ally, amd knows not to underestimate him. He normally takes Tails out of the picture so he doesnt have to worry about him while he fights Sonic.
I don't think Shadow truly hates Tails at all personally, Shadow simply treats him the same way he does everyone. Poor Tails is just unfortunate enough to be in Shadow's way so he just ends being a punching bag. It doesn't really strike me as anything personal on Shadow's part.

We saw this in sonic POV during his fight against Shadow in hero story, shadow the hedgehog and Sonic forces such that statement saying he needs an emerald just being entirely false. And both of their move sets are quite similar and Shadow just has more abilities on top of that being chaos boost, chaos spare, chaos control, chaos Lance and chaos blast.
Wasn't that rule applying with Shadow? I think I heard that about the last episode of Sonic Boom, Shadow couldn't lose and had to be the coolest and all that shit, that's why they only used him in like three episodes.
@@DarioAcereto It applies to sonic more that is why you see shadow loose in the IDW comics more then Sonic. Also there is a bit of a rule that states that only Eggman is allowed to be the only human in the Sonic world. That is another reason Shadow is simplified in resent adaptations because they cannot mention Maria.
There’s more to this,it’s not that Shadow has beef with Tails,if you notice, Tails always gets the lightest kicks,as in,he seems to ACTIVELY TRY and get rid of Tails quick and easy. Even in X Tails was THE ONLY ONE he said and warned, “I don’t wanna hurt you, but I will if I have to”. He goes very easy on Tails vs everyone else. This is why there’s this theory that Shadow has a soft spot for the fox because he reminds him of Maria. Same color schemes, kind heart, etc…
I never thought that Shadow holds a bitter grudge against Tails and hates his guts for interfering with his mission and Tail’s unwavering persistence on protecting Cosmo that finds him rather annoying, but it totally makes sense I can’t blame him
Shadow doesn't hate Tails. It's just that the hedgehogs were initially pitted against each other. Of course, I don't know what will happen in the movie, but in "Sonic X" and "Sonic Adventure 2" it was exactly like that. Shadow decided to first simply remove Sonic's sidekicks to make it easier for himself to fight the blue hedgehog.
Context: Shadow needed to lure out sonic in the Sonic Boom episode so he attacked his teammates to draw him out
Shadow is a strategist so he knows to go for the side characters/assistants first before the main foe

Shadow knows that Tails is Sonic's best ally, amd knows not to underestimate him. He normally takes Tails out of the picture so he doesnt have to worry about him while he fights Sonic.

I don't think Shadow truly hates Tails at all personally, Shadow simply treats him the same way he does everyone. Poor Tails is just unfortunate enough to be in Shadow's way so he just ends being a punching bag. It doesn't really strike me as anything personal on Shadow's part.

Why exactly was Shadow after cosmo was it for a good reason?
The Metarex had implanted her with some spying hardware so she was unintentionally reporting Team Sonic and Eggman's every move. Shadow and Rouge boarded their ship to take Cosmo out. I'm not sure if the original Japanese version portrayed Shadow as carrying out the mission reluctantly but in the English dub he speaks as if he thinks Cosmo is complicit in the spying.
