Thank you, Melody, for your thorough and insightful review of my book, "Juked". I appreciate the time and effort you put into analyzing the events I documented. Your charisma in front of the camera is truly remarkable.
While I may not agree with all of your assessments, I value your perspective and your skill in breaking down complex topics for your audience. I've noticed some comments that are “out the box”. Allow me to clarify that the aim of "Juked" extends beyond simply presenting my perspective; it also aims to shed light on the common challenges faced by leaders across various spheres of life.
The overarching purpose of "Juked" is to provide insight into my decisions, thought processes, and the accusations leveled against me. As the head of the SU Department of Bands during that period, I bore responsibility for all decisions, including those in which I may not have been directly involved. I do not seek to justify my actions or assign blame elsewhere. Instead, the underlying message of the book emphasizes my commitment to taking full accountability for my decisions/actions and their consequences.

After hearing & reading all of this drama from Gabby’s & Haymer’s books, all of y’all were professional & presented a united front- the staff, band & dolls. From a fan’s perspective you couldn’t tell there was chaos behind the scenes. It seems like everyone performed well under pressure, so let the chaos continue!!! 😂
You made this extremely digestible and easy to follow. Haymer is one of the greatest band directors to ever live and honestly, his story is only beginning. As far as the “S” goes, Taylor and his new staff has ran Doc’s legacy into the ground. Not gonna go to deep into that because the results since Haymers departure speak for themselves. But once again, thanks for this summary! You should create audio books in the future. 1luv from N.O.
Let’s go back to 2008. I was confused when the 2007 captain didn’t make the the team in 2008. How do you go from up front to not good enough . But hey what’s done in the dark comes to the light .

They definitely could’ve had maya on the team still and had dani do captain. It’s crazy that all this drama was going on and us fans didn’t even know because 2017 is my favorite year because of all the amazing stands and field shows.

Bringing Danielle Stamper back as captain in 2017 has to be a top 3 best decision made in recent Doll history. 2017 was a phenomenal year for the dolls from a performance standpoint and gave a much needed facelift to an already iconic organization. I know you love Maya, but i just dont think she would've fit that season like the dancers who performed that year, and i like Maya
It seems like 2015 was happy with Dannie in 2017, but something must've changed after Jordan didn't make captain. Dannie has outwardly supported 2015 even to the point of not supporting her own crab getting captain in 2018 but it feels like 2015 doesnt outwardly support her the same. Jordan expressed that the dolls got too far from the 'doll style' in 2017, and here, you seem to make faces when stating Dannie was coming back.
I get feeling a way that your sister/friend didn't make the team, but you can't deny the impact 2017 made on the Dolls and it wouldn't have happened without Dannie Stamper
I don’t think the problem was ever about them bringing Dani back, the BIGGER issue is the sneaky way they went about it. Dani is an amazing dancer in her own right and that’s not debatable. But purposely knocking Maya down to hand the position to Dani, was definitely abuse of power and favoritism. We all been knew that. Again, not saying Dani didn’t deserve it because she’s a beast, but the shady tactics to insure she got it, is the problem at hand. 🤍

They really did not like Haymer. How was he the ONLY person that faced consequences for anything. Hazing is illegal. Many other things that were swept under the rug was illegal. I’m glad he is as to finally move past it all.
I miss Haymer being band director of SU human jukebox the band sounded so much better.Now under Taylor it’s a mess they play too much rap 🙄haymer kept it old school r&b

@@ej2010 I’m gagging right now!!! Facts always played it safe like it’s orchestra .I’m like even an orchestra has some upbeat bops and goes out of their bubble. Certain arrangements were so elaborate that even the band itself messed up. The pressure not ,taking away from the talent and measure of skill you have to have. But come now. !!!!Even in just band reviews there was devaluation on what he tried to do.
Maya wouldn’t have got captain anyway if Danielle was coming back. They still could have let her on the team
I was only 10 years old when I had watched the Human Jukebox on Fox 44 news one night when my Big Brother had went on a Band Trip but I knew that Mr. Haymer was Fired from being the Director of Bands until I was 15 years old a Freshman while in High School and that's when I was making plans to become a Future Director of Bands but with me being 19 years old and never Marched in a Band but every time I make plans to become a Future Director of Bands I end up balling up the paper and throw it in the Trash so whenever I get accepted into Southern University to March in the Human Jukebox Marching Band but I might quit the Band my Junior Year in college.

And also in Gabby’s book, Haymer was questioning her about making RUclips channels and acting bigger than the band, and he confirmed it too, so all this BS in his book about him being flabbergasted by the Alyx and Maya cuts is a boldfaced lie tbh.
It’s not ALL on DT. He let it get to this because a student was working for his nemesis, and he felt like getting rid of her would get rid of his problem.
I absolutely agree that he owes Maya and Brendon a sincere apology as well as KP and Linkford.

Why when any of the dolls talk about 2017 it seems as though there is bit of bitterness toward Stamper. In a live Haymer said HE wanted Danielle back.

Learning about all this, I know now they must have served the same bullshit to Lindsey in 2021. It is sad for the organization. Style, grace, maturity .. is it just a facade for drama behind closed doors? That is very disappointing.
I love Lindsey but she didn’t look good in auditions. I saw that with my own eyes . If a fan fav gets cut now then it’s automatically going to be bs behind it. I don’t know that’s unreasonable.
@@Kb-bv6zw from the documentary? I didn’t get a chance to see it unfortunately. It is the organization to decide if a two year vet is no longer worthy of being on the team and for us to respect it. However, if, as you say, she did bad that one day and they decided to cut her off it is not necessarily better. She was an experienced doll, passed the auditions twice and all off a sudden she is no longer able… ? Hmm … ok. Not to mention dolls really needed experience in 2021 after COVID. She was a fan favorite for a reason.
