The innovative carbon gripper system TCR

The friction-locked TÜNKERS carbon tube system makes use of the optimum moment of inertia of tubes from a technical point of view and at the same time the specific properties of carbon fibres.
Already at the beginning of the project phase, without knowing the respective component or gripper weights, the maximum permissible weight class is defined by determining the robot type. If this weight class is exceeded with the gripper solutions designed for the actual application, the designer has no choice but to take selective measures to optimise the weight and to reach for a larger robot with negative consequences in terms of investment, space requirements and cycle time.
