VLOG #55 - Welcome Back Friends !! Recently we had a great experience at a village resort very near to Kolkata. It is great as a Weekend Destination or even a Day Outing / One Day Tour from Kolkata. It's name is Gram Bangla Retreat.
Located in Kolkata, 13 miles from Kalighat Kali Temple, Gram Bangla Retreat has accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a playground.
The most invigorating factor here is in this resort, all the food are their local productions from their Organic Farming. Right from vegetables to their local chicken, every item is home grown here.
People visiting this fascinating place, not only have a relaxed outing amidst nature but also can pick and choose fresh organic vegetables right out of the farm fields and bring them home.
We also had the privilege to meet with the Owner of the Retreat and directly understand from her how they are making this place a beatiful eco habitat for sustainability of both nature and the people who work here.

ওরা খুব ভালো মেনে নিলাম ,, কিন্তু আপনারা ওই জামরুল খেয়ে নিলেন আর ওদের হাথে কিছু টাকা দিয়ে দিলে ভালো হত না ?? ওরা না বলবে কিন্তু আপনি আপনার ভালোবাসা দেখাবার চান্স মিস করলেন। ওরা তো ওদের ভালোবাসা দেখিয়ে দিলো। ঝিঙে , ঢেঁড়স, করেলা আহা রে,, এতো খুশি যেন দুর্গাপূজার শপিং করলাম। হা ভাই ,, ফ্রীতে কিছু পেলে খাবার মজাটাই আলাদা। কপালে ফ্রি লাউ ছিল না। ফ্রিতে কারাঞ্জা নিলেন। কুমড়ো নিলেন না ? দেশি মুরগি নিলেন না। পুকুর থেকে ফ্রি মাছ জোগাড় করতে পারলেন না। .. হেব্বি লস।

Uber jai, intercity hobe. But ferar somoe paoa difficult. Better centre theke driver nie nin. Odike gele Gram Bangla Retreat theke Swaminarayan Temple o visit kore aste parben. Gari thakle subidha hobe.

Personal vehicle chara apnake resort er samne theke toto ba van dhore Joka Metro obdhi aste hobe. Sekhan theke apni Metro / Bus / Auto / Taxi sob i paben. Echara Intercity Cab service ache. Setao nite paren. But nijer gari ba gari bhara kore jaoa better

Hote pare rainy season e farming korche na. Akhon locally kine anche. But Amra nijera oder farm kora sabji kine enechi ei 2 months age ei. Hoe to akhon bristi r jonya bondho rekhe thakte pare. But we had a good experience
কম লোক থাকলে থালি provide করা হয় না। Ala cart menu নিতে হয়। এক কাপ চায়ের দাম Rs 40/- + GST. 8 pc ছোট ছোট পনির পকোড়া Rs 225/- + GST. ভেবে দেখুন

I feel compelled to share my dreadful experience at GramBanglaRetreat, hoping to spare others from a similar ordeal. The staff's behavior was beyond disappointing - they acted like goons, were shockingly unprofessional, and it seemed like a bunch of illiterate individuals were running the show.
To add insult to injury, the food quality was absolute garbage. I can't believe they served half-cooked meals, and when I raised concerns, their excuse was, "What can we do, sir? The chef is new." Unbelievable!
GramBanglaRetreat is known for day outings or night stays, but beware - the bias towards guests spending the night is blatant. It's like they have a different set of standards for those staying overnight. The partiality is not only infuriating but also ruins the entire experience.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid GramBanglaRetreat at all costs. Spread the word - this place needs a serious wake-up call! #GramBanglaRetreatNightmare #AvoidAtAllCosts
Extremely sorry to hear such disappointing experience. Seems lots have changed since we visited the place. Or it can be the staff has indeed changed. Thanks for bringing this out. We will also like to revisit the place and re-evaluate the resort.
