  • The Final Terror is a backwoods slasher that for years I wasn't quite sure what it was...based on the ambiguous title. It might not have seen the light if not for its premature star power in Daryl Hannah & Adrian Zmed. Let's dig deep. #TheFinalTerror #Slasher

I’m glad that you liked this movie. I’m not even kidding when I say it’s one of my favorites from the 80s. I saw it on HBO around ‘86 or so and recorded it. Eventually, I bought a bootleg DVD before it was officially released. The cast is solid, the Redwoods Forest is a great backdrop, the music throughout is atmospheric, and frankly, Zorich is an awesome character. I praise this movie often! Thank you for spreading the love!

Lee, never stop making these older teen slasher reviews. They're my favorite! I'm constantly watching new ones that I find and always love to hear some discussion about them. Even my friends/family wonder why I prefer to choose a 1981 slasher to a movie that came out last year 😅 There's just something with the feel/look that makes it insanely comforting to me.

So this is a perfect example of why I don’t include clips in my videos most of the time. This was actually a review I was really proud of when I did it, because I included clips and all sorts of editing, and then it was not only ineligible for monetization, but it was also partially blocked from people and only ended up getting about 100 views because of it. So annoying.

Howdy there Lee!👋 I love it when you give recognition and praise to the horror films from the 60's through the 90's!💚 Thank you for being one of the "bigger" horror channels that does that⭐ ..I hate to correct you, but "Splash" wasn't released until March 1984, so Daryl Hannah may have been better known during this time when this movie was released for her roles in "Summer lovers" and "Blade Runner", which both came out in 1982...Adrian Zmed was the "it" man back in '82, starring in the motion picture "Grease 2" (which you mentioned), and also we can't forget he was on our small TV Screens every Saturday night as part of the police force in the hit ABC Series, "T.J. Hooker", along with William Shatner, Heather Locklear, and James Darren...Thanks again for all you do, and hope that you and yours are having a bright and beautiful weekend! Take care! I really appreciate your review, and like you, I had a similar feeling about how so many people survived (they HAD the numbers!), and was surprised and overlooked that as a bad thing (ultimately). Mark Metcalf going down pretty quickly, reminded me of Tom Skerrit going down quickly in "Alien". The atmosphere in this movie is a definite plus, and I really liked that middle part with the captive under that old house. Frankly, I'm surprised that there was a problem getting this movie completed, considering that most of the key actors had already done quite a bit of stuff even in the late '70s! Metcalf was in "Animal House", Hannah was in "The Fury", Zmed was on the TV smash hits "Flatbush" and "Goodtime Girls" (just joking!), Rachel Ward had done "Sharky's Machine" opposite of Burt Reynolds right around that time, and Friedrich had already been in a ton of stuff by that point (I'd recommend "The Death of Richie" btw).
