Thanks for sharing... You either need to have a lot of patience or you are controlling your patience.. It doesn't matter, you did the job.. Now you are in Tahiti..
Great video - thanks. I may be wrong but I suspect that varnished board that was screwed onto the bottom of the settee was there for structural support - so the board it was attached to wouldn't sag when someone heavy sat on it.
Keep the old inverter as a spare, or to power electric cooker and hob, no gas! 😀. You may even be able to run it in parallel with the MultiPlus. Great video mate, job I have to do. But I also have to figure out how to move our batteries from the engine room (1993 SM) to under the pilot berth. I’ll have to make the battery box from scratch.
That installation wasn’t cheap so had to sell it alongside the batteries to recoup some costs unfortunately. It just about covered the cost of shipping the batteries from the US to Bocas Del Toro in Panama :/
You could have used the old cable as well as new ones, connect both. Then you have even more cable diameter so can pull higher amps. Good for future proof if you add a larger or another inverter or inverter/charger
Do you think it matters if I reuse the old 25mm2 cables alongside the new 50mm2 cables? Ie a 50mm2 + 25mm2 on the POS and same on NEG.. or do they have to be the same gauge?

Relieved to see there's no swearing when pulling the cables. The patience of a Saint. ;-)
The secret’s in the editing 😆
Woody, you must of done a great job, because I see that you are in Tahiti now. Great video too.👍👍

That start battery is in a sealed box vented outside of the hull. If you move it seal it again and vent outside
It’s a work in progress.. I’m going to splice a T joint into the old vent pipe that runs outside
Geez Louise…WAY BEYOND my pay grade…And long unreliable pipeline for parts…Good Luck Woody…Continue to Stay Safe & Enjoy😎
Right on
