It sounds like boss fight from an old school 8 bit adventure video game.
Totally agree my man lol
Definitely
I mean, Through the Fire and the Flames already had that vibe.
@@TheJordanicas I blame brutal legends for the best music and this song
@@TheJordanicas adventure part yeah but thats power metal in general.
it's cool that your not like some bands/artists who will put a copyright claim against anything that remotely resembles one of their songs. Cool people like you make the world a better place.
did you know herman li got copyright claimed by his own band one time ?
A lot of times it's actually the label that holds the rights to the song that does it, for all we know Sanctuary Records (copyright holder of Inhuman Rampage) might have copyright claimed the lego guitar cover video.
@@vinchazz that doesn’t surprise me. These companies aren’t going to take the time to determine who the legal owner is, they just check for audio that matches something in their catalog and claim it. It puts the burden of proof on the person getting the claim made against them. If these companies put more effort into Checking for legal use instead of claiming illegal use and waiting for someone to tell them differently, this would go from being passive income to an actual job
Herman only copyright claims the live recordings which show how they mimic guitar solos on live shows
But bands being ass holes allows us to appreciate this guy ;)
"If there was no ass holes, would one appreciate the non ass holes"
I love that Herman hasn't gotten tired of this song after so many years, but even more that he still likes to see how other people play it.
Perhaps the creative covers *are* the reason why he isn't tired of the song: it allows Herman to discover new nuances.
Play it? This guy just did a lot of video editing to get that solo together lol. Where's the playing exactly
@@OfficialAnarchyz its literally on the begining of the video
It's like Edwin McCain said "It would almost be like having a winning lottery ticket in a frame in your big beatiful house, you know, and walking by it every day going 'Stupid lottery ticket!'."
this is the reason i love herman hes keeping me rooted firmly in 07 where i belong
I love how Hermann shift his guitar at one point like he instinctively was about to join the solo
Every concert for fifteen years? It's GOTTA be muscle memory at this point.
I remember someone playing Through The Fire And Flames on recorder, even if he couldn't play every note. That was pretty insane.
He was exhausted at the end XD I think Herman Li saw it and commented here
ITunes several different versions of Through Fire and flame on various different instruments, I've seen two versions of accordions, a couple pianos, I'm pretty sure I remember the recorder one that you mentioned, and one Whistler if I recall correctly.
There is an accordian cover which is pretty good.
Herman actually reacted to that video a few years back!
The recorder has shall we say a limited note range. I would know. That was my first instrument before I learned guitar ans bass. 🤣
I honestly love Herman's responses to covers, he is always so encouraging to the person he is viewing. Even when it is bad he still is postive and constuctively critical of things that could be better.
Very cool that Herman and the rest of the band let’s people have fun with their music. I know this dudes been playing/hearing this song for over a decade, and it must be hard to stay interested, but respect to these dudes for the grind.
well, they found their new drummer (Gee) thru one of those covers xD
It must be a pretty good feeling to know that a song your wrote is considered the "Expert level" song for all other instruments to cover.
The two Guys with the accordions. That was the best 1 on 1 Cover i have ever seen
Morander Brothers, they are awesome! The most French-sounding cover ever hahaha
@@talkingcup They're Finnish apparently, and it's really well done. Their Trooper cover was great as well :D
Very much in the style of the best traditional Finnish accordion. I love that video!
If you want to see a 1:1 cover on an Accordian, check out the Morander Brothers cover. The Spirit of Weird Al and patron god of polka flows through them. It's actually very well done and has some great homages to the original video.
Alternatively, El Estepario Siberiano did an absolutely amazing drum cover of the song. He's the guy that has the short of him playing it with 1 hand to prove nothing is sped up about his videos
Yes! That accordion cover is amazing!
The Morander Brothers cover is amazing!
If this comment were not here, it would have been necessary for me to write it.
Definitely see this one!
Their video was recommended to me literally after I watched the lego cover, and it was just as epic
I love how genuinely impressed and entertained Herman is by the various versions of this song he's encountered over the years. 15 years on this song is still just as powerful a meme as it ever was.
I wonder, did y'all go through a period where you regretted it?
Herman’s reaction, especially when his camera goes crazy, made me bust out laughing. Love it.
There are so many covers of Through The Fire And Flames, its had such a huge impact on so many musicians.
You guys have made something truly amazing!!! 😊Still one of my all time favorites after all these years.
Long live Power Metal!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I'm still putting my vote to the Morander Brothers doing the accordions cover! They really were making those fingers fly!
Please do a video on that!!
The Morander Brothers accordion battle is one of my tops. Been a while since I listened to covers, but piano and instruments you wouldn't expect usually make the top.
I think this is my second favorite, with my favorite one being that accordian cover you watched a while back. That was just so impressive, I can scarce imagine anyone topping that.
Some crazy dedication. You really really have to know the song to pull this off. Amazing skill( lego, music, edit, everything!!).
Trough fire and flames is a all time favorite for me as well, let's be honest..everyone likes this, even non-metal people. The dedication of all those people learning it, amazing amouth of good covers.
I absolutely unironically love that song. The solos always give me chills
Love Herman so much. He has so much respect and love for the fans. It doesn't matter how many times he has heard people cover this same song he still loves seeing people's love for it. He's a really great guy.
TheDoo's was simple yet well executed so still my favourite. As for edits like these, the one where a bunch of pets singing TTFAF is gold and still kept me laughing. Especially after remembering Herman's reaction to it.
And can't forget trombone champ TTFAF LOL
i love the slides in this cover i cant even really imagine how he did it or how much time went into them but they are really impressive
The best part about Art for me is the joy it brings people that consume it and the fact that a song written 15 years ago now is still bringing joy to people and inspiring them to be creative in their own way. That value is almost immeasurable in some ways. And lets be honest, not all art can do that. Theres something special about this song and that album that it appeared on. It in my mind is as important to the cannon of rock n roll as stairway to heaven or Little wing.
I don't want to think about how much time went into editing that. XD
I really like the tavern version of Through the fire and the flames that you watched on stream. I feel like it was a really well put together arrangement. Even though the tempo and the energy was different it came out really well. The artist took the song and made it their own. That's how you do a good cover.
This is the kind of love between fans and artists we need to see more of. Yall are awesome.
I was entertained. To the fullest no really boss battle ftw! Brought me joy for you to embrace and support something that can be done wrong being done so right.
Dude my FAVORITE TTFATF cover has GOT to be the utterly mind boggling accordion shredding Morander Brothers who completely smash the entire 7+ minute piece with the most immaculate version of the song I've ever heard. It's freaking BONKERS
Love your positivity, man.
I almost fell off my chair laughing at Herman's reaction🤣
That was very cool man😎🤘🏾
This guitar solo got me through all of ten tors training and the main event (yes on loop for hours) every step was pain but this tempo kept me going and to see the artist so humble and wholesome really brings a smile to my face (ten tors is a walking/camping event thing in the uk on the moors in Devon)
I love it! This shit goes hard! 🔥
That's just crazy man!
The algorithm brought me here right after watching the video. This may be my favorite cover after the piano version. Thank you for sharing you music and allowing others to bring out their passion with it. You are truly one of the greats.
I think Algal the Bard's tavern version is my personal favourite, but there's a lot of good ones out there nowadays it's wild
Trombone champ with your face reaction is the best cover ever
My favorite part of the original video is a comment by someone who attempted to create a stop-motion version of them playing it on Guitar Hero ... only to have an easier time ACTUALLY playing it on Guitar Hero.
Also, Herman definitely needs to see the dual accordion cover.
Algal the bard through the fire and flames tavern version is one of my favorites. I immediately put it into my DnD playlist.
Cool one! I like the one played with accordion by the 2 guys from Brazil
That was awesome.
Very clever design.
Amazing! By your face, Herman, I think you now know how people feel when you play!
This is insane and Herman Li is a GOD!!!
Honestly, I think this is my favourite, it's just pure creativity, and a completely different set of technical skills.
Very good edit and cool concept guitar lol
Hermann you are the best, whatever you touch becomes GOLD, MANGOLD!!!!!!
Dude... People are amazing, and then I just see amazing people reacting to amazing people and making one masterpiece of art at its highest level. Thank you very much for this, Herman Li, and thank you, Lego guitar dude. May God bless your lives and your family tremendously! ❤
Creative genius right there!
I love the editing of this video, it's so funny xD
I’m not necessarily a fan of the music but y’all are so talented and so humble and awesome . Much love
You need to watch the accordion cover. Absolutely mind blowing
This is unreal :) ...and crazy !
Best ever - Hermin's like - Well played
1:45 I absolutely lost my mind that edit came out of nowhere and you had no right to slap me this hard after a day of work. ♥ that was awesome!
Awesome!
my favorite was definatley either the one where someone covered through the fire and flames in the vocal style of bruce dickinson or the tavern version of through the fire and flames
This one is very cool cover version. Love it love it. Support him.
Its very uncommon version.
Freaking love how Herman is legit on the edge of his seat 🤘
This sounds like a retro game boss battle and its so epic
Herman should automatically join in once hearing it and shred the solo in unison, either way it’s pretty damn awesome
This is sick but my fave is the dooo with a kazoo.. the potential was limitless
End of level boss fight in Double Dragon video game.
Saw a through the fire and flames cover on accordion. Solo and all. It was pretty great.
That was unexpected and fun.
My favourite has to go to the one guy that did a cover on the cry for eternity solo. The clean/acoustic part both looks and sounds so clean! It really made me appreciate the solo even more!
Fernando Ufret has a good cover, great vocals, fairly new.
Also, I
My favorite is honestly the acoustic version by Melodicka Bros (“Through the Water and the Waves,” as they call it).
Highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already!
I’m waiting for this reaction as well!
TBH that's the cover that made me subscribe to them. So glad I did too!
Hmmm... Idk about that, sounds pretty cheap. Reminds me of a CD I once got for free from Goodwill.
Engineer force - Through the information and Technologies.
My favourite cover of Through the Fire and the Flames is by the Melodicka Bros, called Through the Water and the Waves. It's a beautifully arranged chill rendition of the song, featuring some sublime mandolin and a really pleasant vibe :) If you've never seen it, I think you'd enjoy seeing it done radically different :)
I was waiting for this reaction...
Greetings from chile
That was pretty damn cool genuinely lol
The moment I saw this on FB I knew that Mr. Li had to watch this, it's so funny, exactly because of the video editing hehehe
Damn... speechless! So much talent and dedication in one video...we humans are amazing!!!
This is my fav Dragonforce cover
If you can put instrument bias aside, the Morander Brothers have a really good accordion cover. It surprised me!
Wow! Good and creative
I like how even you got lost at point lishening to that 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is so wholesome
Crazy
As cool as this version is, Tina S is still my favorite! I have not given up on her sometime joining you guys to jam or on stage. That would be epic!
Through the Fire and Flames (Accordion cover) - DragonForce by Morander Brothers is definitely on a top spot as well
That is up there in the great covers along with Doggoforce.
The recorder ttfaf cover, that shit is hard ahaha
right now the Accordion cover from the Morander Brothers is my favourite xD
That is absolutely INSANE?!?!!? mind BLOWN?!?! 😱😱😱😱😱
I think Vadim would love this😬 he’s gotta see this Herman!
Uncle Herman aprove! 😁👍
the morander brothers made a cover with a coule of accordions, i think that would be interesting to react to
dude that was awesome!!! i know his pain, i edit for days just make cheesy vids lol that was awesome!!
You should check out the accordion dual cover of TTFAF, it's actually really good.
Murdered but not forgotten, RIP Herman :P
You're my favourite DragonForce cover, Herman.
Felling this one
That was actually really cool. I was proud of myself when I got 96% on Medium on Rock Band 🙂
mindblowing classic mortal kombat's capcom fighting backsound
Reminds me of playing classic games from Nintendo. Love it🤘🤘🤘
So cool 🤘
LOL. everything is awesome! Everything is awesome when you're part of a team! everything is awesooooooome. That's all i heard.
i love seeing how chill dragonforce is as a band
I seen a cover performed by two guys on accordions, was pretty boss
You can see Herman actually enjoying it because he starts guitar twitching
Once heard an example, of how an amazing guitarist, typically doesn't look at an amateur & insult their lack of talent, maybe even suggest they shouldn't even try.
That type of criticism, even if meant to be constructive.. only comes from those who DON'T try, let alone see themselves capable of doing what you're trying to do.
Herman Li is a living example, glad that I'm in my 30's now & he's still drawing inspiration from his own fans.
