I just watched your very helpful video on calculating patient liability. I learned a lot! Something I need to understand is insurance company adjustments! I had two claims where the allowed amount was different than the billed amount and one had a claim adjustment but the other did not. Also, can you make a video about double billing? What is it we are NOT supposed to charge?
I am just starting out in the AR world doing contract work. I did notice that the follow up information provides me with an NPI for the Practice and an NPI for the provider. They are both different. Which one would I use for a follow up call?
Hello Jasmine, I am a new Hospital Insurance Collector and I love your videos. I heard you have 2 videos on Tuesdays and Thursdays. What would you suggest to listen to? Thanks!!
Hi Sarah! Congrats on the new position! Hope you are enjoying it so far. Yes, we hope to start posting on a regular schedule soon, with a video on Tuesday's and our normal weekly livestream (like this video here) on Thursday's at 6:30pm EST. We definitely recommend tuning in for the stream so you can participate with the community and get answers from Jasmine in real-time, but we do post them after the fact. So if you miss it you can still get all the information we went over whenever works for you and your schedule! The nice thing about videos is that you can always watch when it is convenient, but there's just something special about being present in the chat during the stream! We will be live tonight in just a few hours, so maybe we will see you there ❤️

Hi I need to understand 111 vs 117 and when the insurance company denys the duplicate claim! Which should not have been denied as duplicate ~ the original claim went out however lTe charges were added in the 117;but denied!
Thank you for your question! I’m not sure I’m fully understanding. Are you saying that the claim denied for 111 or 117. These are both pretty clear denials in my opinion but would depend upon your specialty . This is probably a better question to be asked in our Facebook group. Please consider joining the Facebook group Medical Billers Network. Be sure to mention your specialty.
Very helpful!
