    Had a similar issue with the lights on my YJ before. Faulty ground was the issue. Scuffed and cleaned the metal surface on the taillight housing and bolt holes for where the taillights mount and it solved my issue. 👍🏻

    Those are sick! I love that its a the strip light, not just all lit up. pretty cool

      Yeah. I like them. Just need to figure out what would be causing the turn signal not to work with the lights on.

    I live in Southern Michigan just came home to South Haven. Set ALL-Terrain on Cruz control at 85 mph everyone passed me some giving me the finger? I’m 78 I don’t feel competent above 80 mph in right or left lane. I get out of way let trucks/ semi’s 4Xwheelets go buy🤪😜😁😂🇺🇸🇨🇦

    Those side markers are sick dude. Try changing the bulb on the front turn signal. Kids looks like the front filament may have fused

      Thanks! Yeah I changed those builds too. No luck. Also updated my flasher relay fuses to the led (with ground) and it fixed some of the problems, but not all of them.

    Try swapping the flasher module from your other YJ and see if it makes a difference. Had a similar issue on my 90 and a replacement flasher module fixed it.

    You should do the full blackout upgrade on all your lights

      That’s gonna be the plan!

    i have been eyeballing these side marker lights for a while. i was worried i was gonna have to get an led flasher but doesnt seem to be an issue for you! that saves me 20 bucks

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah. It seemed ok. Though I did upgrade to led flashers (with ground) after to try and fix my other LED light issues. (It sort of fixed them, but not completely. 🤣)

    My 95 YJ had a very similar blinker/light issue.
    Had a buddy fix it. It was a while ago but I think it was a ground issue in a rear tail light and possibly the bulb installed the wrong way.

    I had the same issue and at the end was a ground problem

    I’ve been looking for a YJ, but people think they’re sitting on a gold mine. But I agree with someone else’s comment, try replacing the flasher module. Try to find one that is suitable for LED lights.

    Add a new seperate ground wire. Body to frame to engine. To eliminate that question.
    The new light is plugged into that socket that doesnt look water proof dangling under the fender. But they look sweet seriously

      Thanks. I’ll give that a try.

      Oh and as for water proof, I forgot to do it on camera and talk about it, but the back plugs into the light fixture the way the stock ones do, to create a water tight seal. It’s IP-67 rated.

    I’m gonna say it’s the turn signal stalk itself.

      Makes sense but I'd definitely makesure your grounds ar all cleaned up and secured first.

    Very cool side marker lights. Love the stripe look of the bulb. That is going to be a tough wire diagnosis. Could be a bad ground wire, bad flash assembly or a bad multi function turn signal switch. Did you replace the flasher when you installed the LED tail lights or are you still running the stock one?

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  Год назад

      I didn't replace the tail lights, the previous owner did, but I might have to start pulling all of that stuff to check it.

      @@SimplyMustGo I would check the flasher module first.

    I had this same issue with a Camaro I had years ago. My issue ended up being a flasher relay. Just an idea.
