God bless this woman and everyone with this consciousness. This kind of woke (awareness) is what we need. I can remember a time when mullet was plentiful and I still prefer it to tilapia, which I can’t eat at all. Preserved mullet eggs, btw, sell at a premium more costly than caviar.

If you watch how abundant the scools of mullet are in Florida, you can see how massive these schools can get.
Reduce the pollution and trash entering our streams and rivers where the baby mullet need to grow, and you can see how sturdy these fish can be s a food source not only for human consumption, but the increase in many species that feed off them.
This fish is known around the world and feeding millions of people.
The Hawaiian sought this highly valuable food source they named it twice and put it in a popular Hawaiian song, "I'm going to a hukilau, we throw our nets, out into the sea, where all the 'ama'ama come swimming to me"
