Hi I'm Tanzanian 🇹🇿 leaving Abroad i been watching all your video about Tanzania, you toke me back home brother for really,, big up brother 💟 for all the Struggles for make this videos. We as Tanzanians we appreciate your love.
Mambo vipi everyone. I am South African. I have travelled to every continent on earth - apart from South America and Antartica. I have also been to 14 of the 54 countries in Africa. I can hand-on-heart say that Tanzania is one of my favourite countries in the world. I have previously been a resident in Tanzania and my two years working and living there have been some of the most memorable of my life - because Tanzania is so rich with warmth and love. I have been back many times since for work purposes - prior to Covid-19 lockdowns and quarantines - and I always feel like I leave more of myself there when I return home to SA. When you see those world happiness indexes - where places like Finland, Denmark, Singapore, Switzerland, Australia etc always seem to dominate - it makes me wonder whether or not the people compiling those lists have ever set foot in Africa. Better still, have they ever been to Tanzania? Nakupenda sana Tanzania!
You right that list is full of bull shit, I’m born in west Africa, and rise in Europe, I was living in different Europeans countries such as Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Hamburg Germany, London, Sweden and last country where I was living is Denmark for 5 years, all those Northern European countries are depressing countries without any social life, those countries citizens also are boring, the only thing good is their highest taxpayer welfare, but if you take to hospital you will spend full day before the doctor see you, living that’s countries is such, and they are the most depressing tablets consumers in the entire world....
My first meeting of Tanzanian was in Country Sea Port in Lagos. I met a Tanzanian called Salim, I have never met so polite, kind and sense of humanity like Salim. Since then, my heart fell in love with Tanzanian People. And I was admirer of Nwalimu Julius Kanbarage Nyerere, for his hujama philosophy, and love for his People. Tanzanian are wonderful People, and my dream of marrying Tanzanian, come to reality. A desire i have since my childhood. I end up Marrying my Tanzanian wife native of Mbeya, but living in Mwanza. Now we have a beautiful baby Girl together. Nakupenda Sana Tanzanian. A great Country and great People.
I was born and raised in Dar-Es-Salaam and have been living more than half of my life in America but not a single day goes by without me thinking of Dar!!!! Thank you for this wonderful tribute to the most wonderful country on this planet. Once a Tanzanian, always a Tanzanian!!!

This if you like what you can refer to as ‘Nyerereism’. He led Tanzanians after their independence and inculcated in them the unduguism that they practice today. Thanks to your videos I decided to live for 2 months in Tanzania. I'm in love with the country, mainly with the people. Lovely, friendly, helpful. Thanks a lot, to all of you. I will definitely go back.
My father was born in Arusha, Tanganjika in 1938 as the son of a Awiss father and a German mother, who herself was born in the Usambara mountains in 1910. I never had the opportunity to travel there myself, but I always took pride and joy from my "African heritage". And Tansania is certainly one of the most amazing and remarkable countries of the world. Just the fact that they set aside about a quarter of the entire land aside, to put it under environmental protection to preserve the invaluable heritage that is African wildlife is such a noble, farsighted and overall phantastic feat, that I can only bow in respect and admiration to the people of this East African nation. Greetings and all my best wishes for the present and the future from Switzerland!
I went to Tanzania in the year 2000, long ago!!!. I went to Zanzibar, climbed the Kilimanjaro and went on a safari to Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengetti. My first exotic travel, and probably the best.... Long live Tanzania!!
@Sabbatical.. 🙏🙏🙏 I am humbled and very appreciative of your description of my people. The very word Darusalaam means haven of peace and how you desribed its people, it is spot on.. Thank you and remember this name.. I will very soon call on YOU.. Have a wonderful adventure and I must say, watching your videos has made me really appreciate your linguistic effort. The Day when you had a conversation with the Refugees from Congo, while in Uganda, you spoke to them in three different languages, Buganda, Kiswahili and French.. Wowzer🥺🥺🥺.. When I meet you I will inform you more. But meet you I will.
My last girlfriend was the granddaughter of the Great Jackie Robinson. Shes from Tanzania via Darsalam. Her family had very good qualities and your Tanzania videos shows proof of why they have. I admire your courage and pray for you to be safe. Peace
Congratulations to you for learning Swahili, you have a gift for languages, one of the reasons why Tanzanians respected you is that you tried to learn their language. You have done more to promote Tanzania as a tourist destination and to promote the friendly character of Tanzanians than all tourist brochures, at least for those who follow this type of media. You are right about the reason why Tanzanians are so good-natured, 120 tribes speak for themselves, do not praise all other people Tanzanians for no reason. And now when you return to the masquerades you will see for yourself how great a man John Pombe Magaufuli was who did not terrorize the Tanzanians with papaya test and masks, glory to him as one who deserves to be called a man because others on the planet did not deserve it.
I worked on the rail project at Pangani in 1976, went to tanga some weekends, the videos bring back good memories, would love to visit again best wishes to the good people of TANZANIA
The ending made me cry cry cry... I miss Tanzania, and the national anthem, I'm drowning in tears. I'm not Tanzanian, I'm not even African . Mungu Akubariki Tanzanian! Nakupenda sana. Tuonana baadaye.
Tommy, i agree with you. Tanzania is the most beautiful country in Africa...with the most friendly Africans i have been with. I am Filipino and i have traversed half of the 52 countries of the African continent in my 20 years of work stint, and all of those years I chose to be based in Tanzania. I love Tanzania, and that makes the two of us here. I have also been to all those borders and regions you have mentioned. Stay safe rafiki. Safari njema!

I fell in love with Ghana this year when I spent two weeks exploring that wonderful country. But after watching your videos I begin to feel that I’m actually in love with the African values of respect, tolerance, and acceptance of differences. I’m going to hike up Kilimanjaro in 2022, and I’ll think about your videos when I land in Tanzania and start that journey. I want to learn as much as I can about all of this continent before I finally retire. I want to help create the Great Green Wall, but maybe Eastern Africa is as good to do that as Ghana and Burkina Faso. Thanks for opening my eyes.
I would say this is the best Africa video Tommy ever put out because it ended with uplifting African singing, showing his hand shake with friendly locals, and hugging the camera as if he was hugging all Tanzanians who might be watching this video and making them feel they are encouraged and supported. What an emotional finish of the footage / documentary. Love it so much . Thanks Tommy. You did a great job. If there is Oscar for travel documentary, I would give this one the prize of The Best Director and The Best Travel Video on RUclips.

Hi Sabbatical I found my wife in TZ, she is from Omulugando ( just near to where you lost your passport) and been married now for 19 years. We are living in Canada now with plans to get back to TZ, so our kids can meet family they only got to see 14 years ago. Part retirement plan to spend winters in the warm TZ and summers in the UK and Canada. Sorry you did not get to tour around some more. The Iringa and Malawi area are well worth a visit and the Lake Tanganyika ferry was a blast ( 1992) if it is still running, Zambia to Burundi. We look forward to following your journey, safe travels and please get a money belt
.
"lost" is an understatement.
Thanks for speaking so highly of our country Tanzania. I'm glad that you had a good experience. I hope you return soon. Karibu tena.
Thank you very much bro for showing the world what Tanzania really is. I have a nice peace of land in Mbeya and I would like to give you two acres so you can do anything you want to do with it.100% yours. Maybe we can be neighbors that way. Good and truthful person like should reside in Tanzania.
That's amazing man, you would throw me 2 acres to build my Tanzanian life? I love it. Someday you'll see me there, ndugu yangu
@@SabbaticalTommy Ndiyo ndugu yangu, kabisa. You are very genuine and humble person. You are also very creative. Here is my email:hkwisi@yahoo.com, karibu tuongee ndugu yangu

Bumped to one of your videos here on YT weeks ago, I was instantly captivated by the experiences that are mostly disregarded. Thank you for showing Tanzania is more than the wildlife/beach etc. The people in Tanzania are what make Tanzania. All the best rafiki.

Your warmly welcome ..(karibu sana)
Love ya too🥰
I live in Tanzania & i admit people here are so peaceful we don't discriminate people everyone is the same here
@Sabbatical..
Thank you for visiting our country and taking time to tell the World what makes Tanzania beautiful and welcoming ALL people. Karibu tena❤❤
Thank you man for your kind words and sure we love all kind of people regardless
By far one of the best youtubers that visited Tanzania.
God bless you kaka.

I appreciate your insight! It's not goodbye .....
It's hello, i travel with you. Thanks Tommy!
Blessings 🌠
👍when you travel its not just about sightseeing, its to experience the culture, food and chichat with the locals.
You're the not bald and bankrupt we all needed. No Sex tourism, no UDSSR bs. You only show and we learn. Thank you very much.

Please be back soon! You will be dearly missed... and that hug was very special 🍻
Now that's some real talk, honest and deep stuff laid down by someone from the west. You are a very special dude man . But I would say this, It is the humbleness in you that made it even easier for you to get along with the people. Have a safe trip man and remember to stay humble as you have always been. Cheers mate
He was the realest. You can see his heart. The people there felt him. One good dude. I met another young American like Tommy who came and met his wife in TZ and now a few kids later lives happily ever after in Moshi, TZ. The magic of that place, the beauty and greenery of the lands and the beautiful and warm TZ ladies can cause a guy to wanna just stay. I felt that way and can't wait to get back.

As a Tanzanian from minute 7:00 you almost made me cry. We Tanzanians loves you brother from another mother. Travel safe Sabbatical
the first time i watched your video about tanzania i was amazed by your style of presentation, its so natural ..a little bit boring in a way but that is the reason why i like your style..the "mbege" keeps echoing in my mind lol...great work man !! keep it up ..love your style never ,,ever change it ..
Waaao, we will miss you too. This is Tanzania, love and caring is our nature. Welcome again, brother from another mother.
We will follow you where ever you go, Tommy! Can hardly wait to watch your next adventure. This time, no leaving your bags unattended, please...lots of love to you friend...
I really went in for that hug, and I think I got something in my eye too. :')
Thanks brother 👍.
We love you people ❤️
HAHAHAHAHAHA sabatical this video is just perfecttt thankyou for featuring our national Anthem and yes matako yetu ni fireeeeee
This is so cute bro karibu tena na tena Tanzania🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
I would say this is the best Africa video Tommy ever put out because it ended with uplifting African singing, showing his hand shake with friendly locals, and hugging the camera as if he was hugging all Tanzanians who might be watching this video and making them feel they are encouraged and supported. What an emotional finish of the footage / documentary. Love it so much . Thanks Tommy. You did a great job. If there is Oscar for travel documentary, I would give this one the prize of The Best Director and The Best Travel Video on RUclips.
