The only way to make Rush look great is to go with soft zone and no pressure. He had a ton of time to allow receivers to get open in the gaps. They rolled down the field easily in the first half.
Missing Otton this week showed. He has become a primary weapon on this team; he wouldve held that drop Durham had. We have ZERO outside pass rush. Pressures- yeah ok, but when youre not getting to the QB and blitzing- death by 1000 paper cuts- going into this game Cooper Rush's stats going against a loaded box are some of the best in the league. And we desperately need to upgrade our linebacker corp- Its time.

Cooper Rush is no slouch, has been playing at a high level the past 6 games. He led them to a win over the commanders too. I’m hoping the commanders get their revenge.
I wish I could find it, but I read a tweet last night that the Bucs have had like 70 missed tackles this season. Bowles is way too loyal to his defensive coaching staff. Should have cleaned house.

Rachaad has fumbled twice in two weeks in key situations. I don't care how good he is in pass protection. He's a weakness at the thing a running back is supposed to do, run with the ball. Put a damn tight end in the backfield or design a screen if you can't block. Players over plays players over plays players over plays. It's malpractice for him to be out there.

Not going to put this on all Bowls, but definitely not a fan of D lineman dropping back to cover RB and WR, especially when the blitzing is not working much of the time, too many penalties, drop passes, and missed tackles by the players. One other thing, i will never understand why coaches take so long to implement the 2 minute offense, one way to slow down and tire out a defensive is to get into that 2 minute drill, I just don't get it.

The piece that I keep hearing is the defense don't have the horses. We'll that's Todd's responsibility, he has had years to develop the back ups. KJ is an example, 3 years invested and not worth it. Should have up and coming youth but hardly any on the defensive side. Need to see better from defensive coaches

We need to do whatever it takes to hold on to Liam Coen. That's first. This coming draft and free agency should be entirely dedicated to Defense with one exception. We only need one player on offense Savion Williams of TCU.
Here's something everyone isn't talking about, the Cowboys kicker was 4/4. 3/4 were 52 yds or more makes. Yeah, we want perfection from the defense but the Cowboys QB is a backup who took what the defense gave him (1st half). The one explosive play we gave up should've been OPI. We know this defense is avg because we don't have any good outside pass rushers but we let the Cowboys take this away from us. This was a physical game, and it's not meant to be easy.
I don't see how a new HC is going to make a difference with this team. When the BUCS change HC, they will also have to change players, including the QB. I don't think this team will have the players to become better next year with a new HC. This is going to be a total rebuild.
The Cowboys weakness was their run defense. We didn't attack that deficiency enough. The Cowboys however knew our weakness were the linebacker therefore attack the middle. The defensive players mis-tackles once again were evident. Defensive fundamentals are poor within this defensive players. Safety were out of place all the time. Baker needs to learn how to throw the ball away or check down. He is trying to make big plays on every down. The decision to go on 4th and 3 was a bad decision too early in the game. The game plan should had been establishing the run game. Maintain the ball time possession and set up the action play. Especially when you have a poor defense. Overall the Bucs were out coached and out played. Bowles and Coen had the wrong game plan. These game playing inconsistencies are the one that can't ensure the Bucs could win next 2 games. It just the reality of this current team.
I bet I repeated the phrase "Just run the f*ckin ball!" about 100 times in the first half. I can't understand being so pass happy when we're so damn good on the ground. They should've pounded the rock early and often and the pass game would have opened up. With Canales we sucked at running and stuck with it, with Coen we're amazing at running and go away from it. The margin of error for this team is so fine that you had to know one of these games was going to happen. Win the next two and hope for Washington to beat Atlanta. Either way, they have zero chance in the playoffs.
When Shepard dropped that ball on 4th down to give the ball back to Dallas at midfield I knew it was over from then. This team tends to sink further into problems rather than pull themselves out of a hole.
A lot of the players on defense isn’t good point blank period. The way you guys rip Todd when games like this happen is wild to me. Coach has been patching up holes all year. And he isn’t the one missing tackles and not making the turnover play. At some point our players have to be held accountable
More of a strategy failure on defense. Since they cannot cover downfield you need to blitz like they did against Chargers. The effort was there tonight, some gritty performances on both offense and defense. And Dallas is playing well now.
Part of the problem was Otton being out. Anytime Kieft hits the field the opposing D knows it's going to be a run- and it's going to a different gap. It's amazing how much of a difference Otton makes in the run and pass game.
I would rather we don't make the playoffs and Boweles get's fired, then lose Liam and Baker is on OC #3 in 3 years. With this D we won't have a deep run anyway. Get stability on offense and revamp a new Defense cause they can't get any worse.....or can they.

Yaya Diaby is overrated, the team is too injury prone, the DBs and LBs are average at best and Bowles defense is always predictable.
I like the Vrabel Idea as an assistant HC and DC. Coen will need someone to lean on as a first time HC.
