    Just visited this place and it was great. The staff interacts with the guests and answered questions and they know their stuff.

    You are correct about them being able to handle modern roads and highways . I ride my 1949l EL on the highway all the time. No problem keeping up or passing cars. It doesn't stop as quickly as my other bikes as I'm still running the stock drum brakes. But it goes fast enough all day long.

    I put THAT exact “ old school “
    pogo - style seat set up on an old 72’ FLH .
    To this day , 13 HD’s later - not one other machine has the comfort that he described in this very well done and well worded video !

    At this point it is almost useless to complement you the beautiful bike. All of the bikes in the museum are beautiful in their own way. Whether it is their beautiful history, ingenuity, ergonomics, etc.....they are all beautiful and incredible machines. I love this channel!!

    It's great you men are preserving history and you do a fine job of it
    Many years ago when I was riding way 62 FLH daily we referred to the brakes as H.D. coaster brakes same for my 47 chief that a young man turned into expensive scrap when he left turned me. I'm a lifelong rider loved motorsickles my entire life but in today's distracted traffic my 6 piston Brembo's save my life almost everytime I ride .

    Awesome how those parts & assemblies were basically utilized in one form or another until recent times (1990 or so). Other people might think that Harley had No idea how to modernize, but this technology was viable & satisfactory for the longest time. Harley had some darn good engineering overall.

      Hydraulic dampening makes this the PERFECT front end. Far superior to telescoping hydro front ends.😇

    The knucklehead is my favorite Harley engine , 2nd is the WL series. The raffle bike is a beauty but I don't care for the bobbed fenders , on a wet road you'd get road spray in your face and on your back.

    I know the Panhead is the Iconic engine due to the ‘60’s Chopper era but, I’ve always thought the Knucklehead is the most Beautiful and Muscular looking engine ever built by the MoCo.

    I gotta agree with you on the Pre 65 four speeds being good stuff. The new knuckle you all have built is an absolute show stopper, it looks absolutely amazing. Matt, job well done to you and your whole crew.

      @@gteefxr3094 nothing wrong with them. They’re just tougher to get to work with a knucklehead or panhead since those engines didn’t come with electric start. The 65 panhead was the first year of electric start so it has a longer sprocket shaft on the engine.

    gorgeous bike, not really a fan of bobber's but that one is cool, would have loved to see if your phone was there at the end of the ride, you should do a review of the suspension and brakes in real world conditions

    The real answer for vintage motorcycle for modern use is the pre-unit Royal Enfield Bullet 350 which was built for over 50 years in India; the reason for this is that spares are and will always be available forever because a lot of those motorcycles are still used everyday like how I do - cheers from chennai

    Gotta chime in.
    Most bikes may not be suitable for today's roads. True. But I see some in clip that go great on a board track race. Those 1910's you got there have created a new(I guess new) wave of peeps who put em back to racing. Small in numbers, maybe....but the board track scene has made a comeback.

    The probl with no/sshort fron fenders is the water being thrown up in front of you, and into your face. If you only ride dry weather, no probl, but irl that's rarely a choice most places.

    To my sensibilities that's a very well proportioned motorcycle. Almost like the ergos are exactly where they need to be. This is obviously decades before the unnaturally low and back seats, ridiculous forward foot controls and ape high steerer pretzel. A modern version of this bike with a Sportster motor would be great.

    Love your show. I am in position of a 1969 police addition Harley. Was my dads, would love to give to my son. Hasn't run since my dad died in 82. Any suggestions?

      Hard to say exactly without being able to put hands on it. But, good start would be if it turns over good and has compression then maybe a carb rebuild and some new points would get it going.
