I totally agree with @Detectivefiction about the 0:05 mark...Mr. Crawford doesn't seem to fully grasp the audience's awe of him and the standing ovations he gets not just here but in all the other times he's given them are without doubt a hundred percent deserving of him. One thing to best describe this man is just simply, purely HUMBLE.

I *love* it when, at about the 0:05 mark, you can just hear Michael say to the audience, "Do sit down." He says it so gently and humbly, almost as though he's a bit embarrassed by the (well deserved) standing ovation for the song he just sang, "The Music of the Night." (The little aside of his is more audible on the CD edition of this concert.) As for "Not Too Far From Here," it's one of my favorites in Michael's repertoire. The tenderness with which he sings it is indescribable, whether here or on his "Eagle's Wings" CD.
THE BEST....if Michael sings it, I let my solo choir members sing it, as I do not care for most popular religious music ( I am not referring to contemporary church music, which is completely different.)
Though I'm NOT a believer, my connection to Michael via Hello Dolly and especially Phantom, (for very special reasons) and now this song, that he may as well have been singing to me, had me sobbing. I never knew love from my parents, who adopted me so it's like I was rejected twice. First on the day I was born then again later on. Married I someone who hid his true nature from me and those horrible abusive yrs were anything but loving. My depressed doesn't help at all and despite having been around ppl my whole life, still felt rejected and unloved. Having two kids have me something while they were both young but then they grow up and forget you. A person can only stand so much lonlinesa and regret. All of it made my connection to Erik in the story, empathizing with every step. Sadly Michael, I am very far away for you to help for you to help, and it HURTS that I never EVER had a chance to see you at all. 😞😢 I feel such despair and my depression makes the pain too much at times. Yet despite all the inescapable sadness I feel, your voice Michael, just felt like a long distance hug here in the middle of another sleepless night, although...
