Major Ian Thomas discusses the Gospel and the essence of salvation. Ian Thomas says that we have reduced salvation to be a moment in time when we raise our hand, walk down to the front, or get baptized. But the Word of God reveals that salvation is the occupation of God in the life of a sinner-where Jesus now has the unchallenged, absolute, and perpetual right to dictate the terms whereby that individual will run his life. The reality of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ has given us His life-as Peter says, in Christ is all things for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Are we allowing Jesus, as God, the right to be God in our life without reserve?
