Here is a tip I use for rusted /stiff chains : 50/50 mix acetone and Full Synthetic Transmission oil. Place in pan moderate heat 2-3 hundred degrees,(flammable) be careful, stir gently, turn off heat source after 15 min, let it soak for 1 hour or longer. If chain uses oi-rings use low heat 1-150 degrees, Remove , let drip, then wipe. Repeat process with 100% clean synthetic oil only. You can use a ultrasonic bath much safer, with same ingredients, wrapping in plastic sealable bag to keep tank clean for future use. This also works without heat for many other parts. The heat causes bubbles to rise and fill the vacuum with the mixture cleaning and moderately lubing parts.
Nice project I like it.
Thank you.
