  • A 16-year-old from Bowie, Md. appeared in court for a bond hearing after a mass shooting at a Greenbelt park left five teens injured.
Two teens were arrested for the shootout at Schrom Hills Park during a “senior skip day” party on April 19, Greenbelt police said. The 14- and 16-year-olds are both being charged as adults.
During the hearing, prosecutors revealed that when the 16-year-old was arrested, officials searched his home and found three guns, ammunition, unspecified drugs and a large amount of cash.
A judge ordered that the teen be held without bond but gave him permission to be moved to a juvenile detention center.
