- I reviewed Layla the new 4* Cryo Character to be added to Genshin Impact and here are my thoughts on the sleepy one! Here are my artifact, weapon and build recommendations!

@@Astira359 diona c6, doesnt work for melt, layla is an off-field cryo applicator who shields, also no healing that could mess up hu tao scalings
She's gonna be amazing for physical teams as well for that sweet superconduct damage and shield 👌

@@HolleySabrinaSally Constellations aren't necessary, they do make a great addition to the base kit. For Hu Tao especially C4 gives her a really good NA/CA DMG buff based on Layla's HP.
The fact that I have the Key of Khaj Nisut on my account ALONE meant that I was building Layla lol. Diona is cute but I couldn't justify building her when I have Zhongli. Layla is tanky and has better Cryo application for my freeze teams so I'm excited for her 😊

Edit: I want to admit that I still have my reservations about HP-Tenacity 4 set for Layla because it seems you need to keep your burst active all the time while also spamming skills, otherwise the buff will wear off since you need the stars to keep hitting enemies in less than 3 seconds duration, which is not the case sadly based on what it's shown in the showcase.

@@ayad953 I don't think TCs tested everything about her so there is a need for more testing to say for sure. Currently, you can go with whatever Atsu has mentioned in addition to 4set Noblesse/Blizzard/Emblem depending on your team's need and your preference. You can also pick a combination of 2sets such as Tenacity/Blizzard/Noblesse/Emblem while the main focus here is substats. I think with C6, Tenacity is your way to go, based on another comment I saw.
yeah, ER is really important for her to keep her Burst up and input a bit more DMG and Cryo application. You can use an ER weapon like Favonius to help with particles, or an ER% sands. I have full HP on my Layla (aiming for a Cryo goblet) with 4pc Tenacity. She has about 150% ER from substats alone and around 38k HP.
I think that's an alright build. Definitely not 100% uptime, but close.
As a Diluc main, Layla is really exciting for me! Really useful video, thank you!

i'm in love wigh her design and she seems like a pretty nice chara to have on a team but sadly i'm guaranteed and at 37 pity so no pulling for me till ayato's banner😭
Ayato isn't that good.. i have him you need 5 star weapons and crazy artifacts and still he will hit only around 10-13k
I was just trying to pull for her and got Miko at 14 pity guaranteed. I luckily planned to get her on another rerun as I rlly want Shenhe but Im just gonna grind it out again. I pulled skyward atlas on standard not long ago so it might be fate (I´ve always gotten five stars at like 75 pity so this was shocking)

I mainly use Diona for shield and cryo application because both Bennett AND Diona healing is just redundant, so Layla might actually be a really good addition to my team!

None of these youtubers realize she has the second highest physical attack damage modification on her autos and charge attacks. Making her second best physical dps is the game. As well as being able to constantly protect herself and apply cryo for lightning physical break.
Managed to get her and was confused if i should build her or stay with my comepletely built diona, luckily this helped me
My next 5⭐is guaranteed and I want Hu Tao so I'm not risking pulling on this banner, lol, but hopefully I'll get her on the standard or her next run ❤

Ok I might start playing this game all over again just for this cute char. My head hurts alrdy.
Melt is good now thanks to Nahida though, her burning does constant damage and cannot be overridden (excluding ayaka), hence long duration of melt damage is possible now.
Diona = shield + heal + em buff + nobles artifacts holder. Sooo she will never replace her for me.

summit shaper can be great on her for a dps build cuz it gives 20% sheild strenght and ATK
I use layla, and she's perfect, her shield feels like zhongli with extra freeze, she's really perfect with my Hu tao team....
got her in 50 pulls :’) c2 heizou and c6 thomas too- and built pity for scaramoosh. PERFECT
I’m so lucky straight after early 5 star and winning 50/50 and getting nahida I get 8 4 stars in 30 pulls, three of them Layla
i got her for free from the event and at the begining i didnt realy used her but now that i looked at her shield i started using her and shes very good at my team

i did two (2) ten pulls on yae miko's banner for layla. my pity was zero. first ten pull: it's five star, i got miko. second ten pull: it's ANOTHER five star, and now my miko is at c2. Where is this luck when i want the five star????? 😫
edit: i did get layla on the second ten pull right after the second miko thank god

I lost my weapon banner pull when pulling for jade cutter, now i can use it on her
hoping she comes home early w a few copies as well as c1 miko! miko is my main dps and favorite character, i’ve been saving like crazy to try and get another copy of her since i heard she was getting a rerun

from the first leaks of her im already fascinated by the shield, just because i like them afk party comps. but for now i need to pull kagura for my queen yae before going for the constellations >.
I had two of the key of kaj -nisut weapon. I didn’t think I’d need the second so I refined and it nilou is using the r2 key of Kaj-nisut.
Edit: Just checked and I actually still have two of the Key of Kaj-Nisut weapon. Which means if I pull Layla while aiming for Childe I’ll have a good weapon on her. Yay!
so now i finally have some use for this accidental key of whatever on my account.
Just sniped her in one 10 pull that never happens so very happy, swapped her out for Traveler in my Bloom Idol team and works better than i thought (Ayaka, Barbara, Collei, Layla). She's Fischl, Xiangling, Xingqiu tier for sure imo

kinda glad i lost on the weapon banner and got the Key now though
ToM triger over and over, permanently: you mean once for 12 seconds, after 7 seconds from recasting E. That means 3 second buff every 12 seconds. Instead, use Noblesse and have the buff all the time. Or I'm wrong and you can get the buff quicker? It says "when elementary skill hit opponent" That means, you cast E then wait 7 seconds for the shooting star hit opponent and then you get 3 seconds buff, then you wait. I don't know i don't have the set am i wrong?

Oh, hey that she's like, very good for Walnut comp? Zhongli shreds resistances we know, but Xingqiu applies non-stop hydro/Yelan passive helps ramp up Walnut damage and Layla applies non-stop cryo, so if either elements hit and infuse with eachother to make freeze, Walnut can still Melt or Vape It's just that with the comp i'm thinking of, It's Walnut, Benny for Walnut's shimenawa Energy deduction, Yelan and Layla for forever shield? maybe an ok team? (Me speaking 6:42 seconds in the video xD)

id recommend you get shenhe when she reruns! she will make all of them double as good as they are now!
