For anyone unfamiliar with the band, I highly recommend checking out their Audiotree session from 2018. It's basically perfect as a performance and as an overall representation of their sound.

A couple of things: Super Summer was a rearrangement of a tricot song from 2013 on a collaboration album titled "And Your Birds Can Sing". The old arrangement is great too, and you should check it out!
The "wan wan wan" in dogs and ducks is the japanese equivalent to the English "woof".
This album, THE, and AND I think are my three favorite tricot albums. They are unbelievably consistent and haven't put out a bad record to date. Anyone who hasn't listened to this band yet should absolutely check them out!

I ended up enjoying their major label releases more and more, personally. Their indie math rock stuffs are fun and all (some of their classic works are there too) but then you had the challenge of maintaining your creative and artistic consistency, probably one of the reason why their first drummer left the band.
But their latest release here imo has all that consistency and maturity in the songwriting while still not devoid of creativity, just different.

Gesu is a little all over the place and Enon's been exporting Gesu trademark style to his other outfits as well lately (Genie High, DADARAY, Ichikoro, etc). At least ilE still retains its artistic consistency imo.
