I really like Ingenious Hunter on Sona, since her heal scaling got gutted that helps compensate a lot by proccing Harmonic Echo way more often. It also synergizes well with Crown, Archangel and Locket enchant, which you build anyway.
Highly recommend ingenious hunter as the secondary rune. Yeah, you have to be more conservative with mana in the early game, but it makes it so: 1) harmonic echo takes about as long to charge as your second ability's cooldown (so each heal is a super heal) 2) crown's passive and archangel's lifeline passive are up more often, keeping you safe 3) you're able to get more tear stacks when you're in the middle of a team fight spamming abilities
Totally agree, I abuse Ingenious Hunter on Sona and Soraka; on Sona I often get Locket enchant as well so that's a plus. IH is also great on jungle Morgana, for Stasis, Luden's, Crown and whatnot.
