Awesome view from the house. You do really nice work and love the camera angles and shots! Thanks for the video!
Thanks and thanks for the feedback
Awesome comment , I watch your channel too!
Good morning great job always, I better go to work for awhile. I have been watching your videos for about 6 hours straight and enjoying every one of them. Thank you for sharing
Lol thanks Steven
Sent to my brother in Alabama, he has steep driveway and level parking area. Hope he listen.
I am learning a lots on your channel. Thanks (presently in the Philippines)
Love your videos takes me back to the good old days of working miss them days stay forever young as long as you can and don’t worry about the small stuff and keep family close no matter what.
Will do thanks John glad you enjoy them
Put millings down 25 years ago and still in good shape !great video
You've come a long way in a short 4 years Mike!! I do hope you are proud of your progress! Looks really good!
I just love how you load up that truck. Not full till it’s running off
lol just don’t let officer Hoover see it 😜 thanks for watching
Lol. When our trucks leave the field headed to the dryer, they are loaded up. I don’t do it when I’m heading out on the big road going to market. There’s lots of Ohio State patrols watching. Thanks for the video
lol yes you guys got them sitting everywhere it crazy
Cool to see you here andy I just started watching but I have been watching all of your videos 👌
I enjoyed these videos of this project and learn a bit for my future plans. Thanks and many blessing to you and your family! 👍💯🙏✌️
well done!!!! Anytime you can scoop up millings is great!!!! Recycling machines are taking over up here so they are hard to come by now! Youd be a bandit hauling loads like that up here. Lovin the videos!
you're a good dad - fun with the kiddos - that project turned out just perfect- looks excellent from my easy chair.
Mike, you have a beautiful view of what i can see. Nice job with the millings. God Bless.
As my tween-age grandson would say, “That’s literally perfect!” (He uses literally even when he means figuratively.)
That roller would be top heavy if it was any narrower. As it is, it’s perfectly sized and shaped so you can upright it with the mini every time it decides to lean out on the curve. I LIKE it!!!
Thanks for all the effort to show us what you accomplished.
Lol that’s literally awesome 😜 Thanks for the feedback and watching
Looks good Mike, definitely will stop the dust from the gravel!
Yes much better
You're a blessed man- neat family, great view from your house, plenty of equipment to do the work and now you're off the dirt.
Yes I am thanks for the kind words and watching
4 am, sick and I can't sleep more than a couple hours at a time.
A bowl of soup and a video of someone using construction equipment.
At 30 minutes in and I start to feel like I am accomplishing something.
Job well done, we earned me some more sleep, so time for bed again.🤗
Lol good hope you get feeling better soon
Perfect roll sir. Couldn’t have done it any better myself lol. Laughing at someone else expense priceless not to name any names (el capi tan) 😂
Enjoyed watching your video.... Nice to see that you did a professional job of making sure your home was protected with the proper fall. Most guys would have eyed it... Then yell once the first rain flooded their home... Your home location is AWESOME for sure. How much water does that hill flow down? At the end of your video you state that everything fell in place..... Reason is simple... YOU.. After a hard day at work you came home and busted your butt to take care of your home/family. Hats off to your hard work for the family.
Thanks appreciate the kind words and watching..... have s ditch at toe if the hill catches most water coming down the hill
I really enjoy these old DP videos.
Thanks
Great use of the drone at the end of the video. Nice job.
Thanks
It looks good and should last several years. I doubt anyone could pave all that for $2100. The drone footage gives a new perspective on how much work you did.
Thanks paving quote was 70k😬
@@DirtPerfect damn
Great job, hard work and resourcefulness is whats needed right now,
Thanks
Awesome job and video so glad u include ur family in them as that is what makes the world go round and just so u know ur at the top of my list of channels i watch as im a heavy equipment and construction fanatic as ive done a little of both back in the day before i got stuck in a foundry in Indiana for 28 years and have regretted that ever since but it was what it was so keep the videos coming Oh one thing i would of done was widen the right turn at the bottom of the driveway as it looks choked down for such a fantastic looking home
You picked yourself one hell of a spot.....congrats
Thank you
Nothing like making ur own maze in ur shop there DP. Looks great after u were done. Dont feel bad those ditch corners just jump out in front of u all the time. It's happened to me.
To bad u didnt have a Dozier blade for ur skid steer, I think u would like it if u get one. I know u have the grade blade but I think u will like the other one too. It's good for doing stuff like u did hear and for doing rock.
I have the same JD 855 tractor, the fun we have on all of the projects. Great job, and thanks for the video.
Then 855 are some awesome tractors
Looks great. Should hold together from the way it looks.
I was in your neck of the woods today, looking at new fishing spots and checked out Patoka lake. That lake is alot bigger than it looks. 👍
lol yes it is I was over your way kinda doing a job near west of dale
Somebody is getting the hang of the skidsteer. Looking good big fella
Thanks Tim
👍 Matt on Diesel Creek loves that matting. Saw you in his channel . Went through all his and now climbing through yours.
Thanks hope you enjoy
We did a milling parking area for my mom three years ago. One suggestion is to sprinkle sand in areas around all doors and roll it in. That will limit the amount of tracking you get inside from the asphalt goop.
👍
Dude! You did great! That’s a beautiful place! Where are you? Your kids are definitely great... little man said I didn’t do it!!! 😂. You musta “hot roded “ that golf cart because they don’t zip along like that at the golf course! You did a good job flipping the roller back over... I thought you’d pull it with a strap and you just slipped right under a curled it up...made it look easy! For that price you couldn’t have bought plain stone, could you? That’s just going to keep compacting over time... I’ll bet if you spray it with sealer down the road it will look like a brand new drive way! Might want a nother couple of truck loads while you can get it to have to fill in the little holes and ruts that will popup as it settles? I love millings! Maybe a tamper plate up along the house? The before and after are just awesome!
Thought about tamper plate along the House and still might to that thanks for the awesome comment and watching
" ARE WE THERE YET? " NO!! THAT WAS JUST TOO CUTE!!
lol got to love kids 😜
@@DirtPerfect What you need to do is go on a long road trip with the kids and do that to them every few minutes until you get to the destination. ;)
They do it to you, only fair to return the favour.
Finished driveway looks great!
Thanks
I’m not just a content creator for RUclips. I’m also a coatings specialist and when I’d seen that asphalt hitting that garage door I cringed. I left a thumbs up for you.
Lol thought more people would catch that you are only the second in over 500 comments 😜 did. I mean to do that
Dirt Perfect the dirt guys here in the Southern Oregon area are pretty laid back and we tend to look out for one another. I would’ve grabbed some boards and plastic and barricade the doors. Again. I’m not a dirt guy I’m the painting fool. I’ve seen tar stick to those and watch a few people dent them up pretty darn good. Lol and man oh man. Concrete splashes. Haha. Concrete guys around here are a different breed. Still gotta love em.
Lol yes have been there a few times my self spray foam is another oh crap it’s stuck 😜
I saw it, but was too polite to say anything. I was waiting to see a dent in the door. You got blessed!
That worked out really well ! 😊
Great one Mike! You must go to bed thinking up new camera angles. That was LOADED with every longitudinal diatribe. Your videos rock, mostly chirt. Lol. Those millings are packing nice. Cheers!
lol just try to keep it interesting for you guys. Thanks for the feedback and watching
I’m new to your channel and do enjoy your video’s. I think it’s the unexpected things that helps the entertainment value. Great job.
Welcome bill and glade you are enjoying the channel
You have a beautiful place , nice view from the house
Thanks
Love the different views with the camera! Awesome
Thanks for the feedback John
Thank you haven't ever tryed it but will now
Man I so love that music you play in the in the time lapse that is so freaking funny that is so old school we haven't heard that like forever
Thanks
The loader bucket cam was very cool, dumping into the truck.
I thought so to glade you enjoyed
Love the videos man and the humor you get me every time..
Thanks appreciate the feedback
Tip NEXT hot day spray peanut oil on it then in 3 yrs chip n seal. Paved an entire campground with em and oiled it 3 yrs later chipped it that was 15 yrs ago w 2 replications of chip n seal it's held up to over 10k of large RVs and various other campers
You're a hard working guy! It's a nice place you have
Thanks appreciate that
You do some awesome work
Beautiful view from that house. If you could have rented a big roller that would have put the icing on the cake. Looks great though.
Thanks James
Reminds me of the time I ran a forklift in to a trailer , without the docking plate down!!! Ha-ha, the lift went 99.999% in to the trailer, just enough I couldn't get in or out, the trailer was about 8" from the dock, and about 12" lower! It was a rough ride!!
Lol i bet 😂
Ny job. A chip seal would work great on top of it. But if you just seal it will be as hard as asphalt. But the chip seal will take out any imperfections and last for many years
Yes I agree hope to chip in the next year are so
Hi great job ,that Kubota is a pretty tough little unit moving those grindings . And you are turning into a cinematographer with all those cool angle shots. And here in BC Canada if you close to the road being resurfaced. They will give to you so they don't pay trucking to the recyclers.
Thanks for the feedback and milling are free have to pay for the trucking
Whew! That sure was a lot of ground to cover. Excellent job. Now you need to take your family on a vacation and get some rest!
Lol like the way you think 🤔😜😁
Great camera shots, you always find unique views.
Thanks buddy
Hmm all said and done that's a damn good deal in my book. Can't knock the install either, despite a little 'adventure' with the roller there near the end.
Lol thanks
Very nice job! The millings we get around here are a lot chunkier and lots of big clods! Could never do that with them.
Yup those suck 😬
Came out sweet Mike..nice spread!
Thanks man appreciate that
Must have had the chain saw setting on the roller!!! LOL Looking nice Mike. You can come out to Iowa and do the same thing to my drive. LOL
lol on my way 😜
Love the sound of that GMC dump truck.
Thanks me to
Nice job, looks great!
Thanks Danny
You have a beautiful home man!! And shooting the elevations and getting the fall right is imperative!! I thought you'd go on and raise your garage door when you went after the grease gun, and maybe you did we just didn't see that. When we paved driveway, and yes, I worked some with independent paving companies too, not just the big ones, when we had a situation with a carport or garage we took two sheets of 1/4 in. plywood with us to put on the concrete when we rolled it in. Speaking of rolling... LOL!!!
Thanks Jim
Great Job!, You've certainly have a beautiful spread with killer views, and a fine family!
Thanks kind the kind words
You're starting to get the hang of the old skidsteer. It just takes practice. I loved the professional grade laser tripod though (5 gal. bucket). You can't find those just anywhere! Lol. Glad you had the grease gun handy, that squeak was annoying.
Lol was wounding of anyone was going to notice the bucket 😜
@@DirtPerfect ha! I've used all sorts of stuff for various reasons to sit mine on. Wait til you break a shooting stick and have to scrounge through the trash dumpster for an old board to use in its place. I actually had to destroy a new tape measure and tack it to the board so I could be accurate. Lesson #1 dont break the shooting stick. Lol. Great video series on the millings.
Man I’m glad I’m not the only one with these little mishaps .. Driveway looks awesome man damn good job .. Your doing just fine on that skid steer .. I’ll be the same way when I get a dozer . Got way less time on one than my Kubota..
Thanks if I can figure out a skid steer you can figure out a dozer 😁
5:02 good to see you have done the responsible thing and have taken care of your hydraulic oil spill on the ground that we all noticed in your past video
Dig up the dirt and incinerate it
You might think it’s just your work area but there’s a little thing called run off and ground water contamination
Yup agree
Great vid Mike thanks! Keep em comin!😄
10-4
I don’t know why the pond was taken out but that’s what I personally myself would have liked to have in front of my house or close to my back patio, man made with boulders and a stream and such to look natural !!! 👍👍👍
Need the parking for my trucks built new one in back of the house thanks for watching
Great job it's looking good thanks for sharing have a great day and stay safe out there
Thanks for watching
That's great, I just got done watching the last 2 videos & then you posted this one, now I call that good timing Lol
Sweet 😁
Love the camera angles.
That looks great, another job well done
Thanks Kevin
It's amazing how huge the inside of your garage/shop is considering how normal sized garage it looks like from the outside.
To bad your vibrating roller doesn't have a propane heater inside the drum.
That'd really pack the millings down to where it'd be pretty much asphalt again.
Oops, looks like I chimed in to soon.
That vibrator did do a really outstanding job packing it down.
Great job with what you had to work with.
Even with all the stalling the truck boo boos 😅😅😅😎
Even pro's have their off days Y'all.
lol thanks
Cool video and great job with the driveway. Got almost a paved driveway for a fraction of the cost. 👍🏽
Yup we love it 😊
At 1:45 that is where the Benny Hill theme music would be perfect!!!
Haaaa @22:34 the auto caption printed Barbie toy roller, even though you said vibratory #accent!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely a Bee-u-t-full veiw looking across the pastures and the waters, I'm betting it's even a better site looking off the covered porches...
Thanks it is we love it here
looks like it came out sweet.nice job
Thanks
boy thats a pretty shanty buddy NICE !!!!
😜😁
Hey, that's alright. I love it when a plan comes together.
Lol thanks
Awesome Job!!
Great Planning.
Great job buddy. Should get some brownie points with momma perfect. Well...... You never know.
😬😁 I hope
Love the sound of that dumptruck
Thanks
3 tiger torches mounted in front of the drum works to reheat and pack
Prime bicycle riding surface! Lucky kids.
Yes they have been loving it
job well done i have 25 years in this trade one thing i have learned there can be 100 different ways to pave or prep to pave yet the finished product will be the same . if your happy with it that means job well done .if you ever get a shot at a rubber tire roller it would help a lot .what your truck did over your roller was help push the air voids out if you have no rubber tire roller have a hot dog party and invite lots of people the traffic its self will act as a free rubber tire roller never use any diesel you will smell it for ever and ever and it will do nothing for driveway but stink for ever
I can’t agree 100 percent one of the best comments I have got thank you for that and thanks for watching
Yes. Diesel is a solvent that will wash away all the oils you’re wanting to stay in the product rendering it to nothing more than fill dirt. At least that’s what happens when too much diesel is applied. Chip Seal costs a bit and is worth it.
looks unreal .love your vids mate.
Thanks buddy appreciate the feedback
If didn’t know better, would think Michael is a rookie driving that dump truck lol. Now Michael you know your wife didn’t park in the way, you put the shop in her way, the driveway looks great 👍
Lol thanks
Please replace your clutch brake. It'll keep your trans from grinding when first going into gear. They come in a 2 piece. If yours is a 1 piece, just stack it in front of the other. It'll be fine. Be careful when shifting not to push the clutch all the way to the floor, you'll burn up the new brake. It's only to stop the trans from spinning when first taking off. 🙏
Hvguy I came on here to say the same thing, except I'd torch the old one off. And it all can be done without removing the transmission.
Check ezrider92356 clutch brake replacement video for an idea on how it's done.
Wes Johnson Services had a great video about torching out the old clutch brake too.
Top job Mike looks good have you had any heavy rain since you finished this project too prove your levels for run off, as for the opps they happen to the best of us keep up the good work.
Yes have had a few drainage is good have one soft spot I need to fix just haven’t had time
Can you do a year review of how it's holding up
Driveway is awesome have not touched it
Looks Great!! How about an update after a rain??
Good all drains well one small soft spot I have to fix
Try spraying the with diesel or a mix of diesel and drain oil- hardens that to near asphalt surface. If you mess it up, just respray it and compact it again. It's worked great on my place and has put an end to the wash outs and muddy problems I had before.
Diesel does not work. It actually breaks down the tar and renders it useless. Just spray with water and compact.
them there clutches are hard to get right sometimes lol looks great from a drywallers point !!!nice job .....rookie .....couldn't resist
Lol I deserve that thanks for watching
@@DirtPerfect in 1980ish I drove a 16 or a 20 ton garbage truck as a High school student My mom was married to the business owner ....killed My share of trucks lol
What a great house! What a great result! What a bargain!
Thanks andrew
Your kids will never let you forget to if God forbid they have a vehicle problem like this.
I'm no expert on a skid steer but my mate has a svl75, I've been using it a bit. I'm Having good success using the float function to level when reversing. Right trigger finger from memory.
Yup you are right
Enjoy the video Mike on the asphalt millings .
Good deal 👍
Mike the job looks great. What would that cost to asphalt, about 20k? That would work good on my parents drive in Stillwater, Oklahoma. You available?
No quote was about 70k 😬 would love to but that’s a little far 😐😁
that is a nice little tandem tip cart yo got there sonny boy !!!!!
Thanks buddy handy truck
Awesome garage!
Thanks
Looks good! Been told if you spray some diesel fuel on it it will be back to basically asphalt
Chris Andert. No. If you spray any sort of solvent including diesel you’ll actually rinse away all the oils and leave only the solids behind and all you’ll have after that is basic fill dirt. Perhaps a misting with diesel might leave a desired affect. I think I would use a product with a better solid to vehicle ratio.
You could rent a Vibratory roller from a rental company to get better compaction.
Loaded truck is just as good just takes a lot longer
