    The Manzanos after the rain have this distinct smell that no other mountain in NM has, I swear. I don't know if it's the type of pine but it smells so sweet, kinda like pineapples almost, I love it! So great to see your family, raising another generation of mountain lovers ❤

      I totally agree with you! The pine smells really sweet, and I have pulled off the bark and gotten hints of vanilla. I do love the Manzanos after a rainstorm. I love finding places to camp up there. My boys love being in the mountains. They ask to go camping all the time. Thanks for watching!

    Heck yeah Man! 😎👍 I'd imagine that there was a water source nearby the homestead ruins. Really cool that they used the native materials for the clay plaster. Better than concrete in certain building situations. Look at how long some of the Native American ruins have been around... like many Navajo ruins that survived hundreds of years without any major degradation.
    The rain really seemed to bring out the deer! You got to see a lot of em! That's cool! That campfire steak looks delicious, man you know how to rough it! 😂
    You got to share the link where you got that AWESOME sticker at 22:50! 👍👍
    You have an amazing family and living a life that most people can only dream of! Thanks for sharing it with us!

      As you know buddy finding ruins is super cool! I'd love to go camp near that one on top of the mesa we found a couple years ago that resembled like a lookout post command spot. They sure did know how to build well and you're right, many of them still stand.
      I was impressed by how many deer I saw. To many to count and I am sure the rain had something to do with it. I got the sticker on Amazon, I will leave the link in the description box.
      Thanks brother. I will have to say, I have some cool boys and great woman! Cheers.

    Nice to see you getting out. The rainy days stink when you're in them, but they make great content. Living in New Mexico, of course I love green chile on everything, but lately I have been also really enjoying pickled red onions, Italian Calabrian red chiles, Chinese garlic chili oil, and Chinese chili crisp in oil. All of those make great garnishes and flavor enhancers on food that doesn't even have to be the same cuisine style.

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  Месяц назад

      Green chile all the way! I agree that a rainy day makes for some nice content, plus it is more adventurous. I'll have to try out the items you mention. I love adding spices and different chilies to my dishes. It's been a while but pickled onions are really good. They make a nice side dish of flavor to a variety of foods. Thanks for watching my friend. Cheers.

    Hi! Great to see you out on new adventures😀👍. To answer your question. In Norway we eat a lot of potatoes and bread of all kinds, in almost every meal. Norwegians are very fond of Mexican food, so we eat a lot of tortillas too.

      Hey there. I do a lot of searching on Google Earth and on Gaia GPS. From Gaia I am able to look for trails in the forest and plot a route. Gaia also provides me with coordinates so I am able to use Google Earth to have a closer look and if I see something that looks like a structure or open space is around, then the spot has a good chance of being a ruin. For this video I am in the Cibola National Forest, which is a cool adventurous place to explore. It is scattered through various parts of central New Mexico. There is still lots to explore in this range before I move onto other national forest we have not including BLM land we have as well. There is lots to explore!. Thanks for watching!

    I'm zero seconds in and excited to watch your video Ruben!
    The rain is washing the air. 🙂
    Alligator Juniper; thanks for the identification. We don't have those in NE Oregon.
    Oh, side note; I was driving along a mountain highway a couple of days ago and spotted twin Bobcat kittens along the road and headed up the hillside towards their mother. That's a 1st for me! (Very cute too.)
    I would say people use bread more often around where I live. Except bread doesn't work all that well when traveling, so I've started using flour tortillas and putting various items like meats, veggies, and cheeses, along with hot sauce or a salad dressing of some type with them. Mexican style foods are very popular in the Pacific North West, but it's not as pervasive as in the south.
    Was this a spring time ride, or like areas of Arizona do you get summer rainstorms?
    "Nature's TV" I don't think I've heard of that one before.
    Great time with your family!
    Have a good one Ruben and I look forward to seeing you in a future video!

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  Месяц назад +1

      That would have been an awesome experience to see bobcat kittens. I've seen babe bear cubs in the wild and that was cool to see.
      You can't go wrong with bread, but you are right on the things that can go into a flour tortilla. I think that is what makes them a go to for me as well. Chile is more popular around New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado from what i have seen by just visiting these states.
      This was a summer ride. So a combination of snow melt and rain since we are in the monsoon storm season just like AZ is. I hope all is okay your way and I appreciate you watching buddy. I'll see you on the next one.

      @@ManzanoManATVAdventures - geez! Was not expecting this. Thank you for the sub! I really enjoy your videos, I talk a lot in the videos these days - which I have pretty much learned from you. Because I think the story, and the people are more interesting compared just filming the driving. I have couple of times went up north in Finland. Near the Arctic Circle, just by the Russian border (even got the Border Guards chasing us to find out what our plans were). Driven 1000 miles there all together. Here is video that might be of an interest for you. I don't have subtitles on, but you might want to fast forward to some of the scenery that is there on mountain tops - very different compared to New Mexico. So nice to see these ATV's in different ecosystems. I would absolutely love to drive where you are - you might feel the same! Have a peek: ruclips.net/video/UCSA-kfeun0/видео.htmlsi=qa1Oq754KzUoPp-j

      I do miss the Can Am. I strongly do believe I had the bad apple of the bunch for what ever reason. My neighbor has the same Can Am that I use to have and he never has issues. So for whatever reason mine did and it grew to costly. I was regular on maintenance and general care which is why I couldn’t figure out why so many problems. Thanks for watching man.

    So you can just drive into the woods, and park, and camp, wherever you want on public land?

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  22 дня назад +1

      Yes, that is correct. We could drive anywhere in public lands where there are trails and roads that exist. We can camp anywhere off of those roads as long as we don’t go beyond 300 ft. I have found some amazing remote country that you will guarantee to not experience anyone for weeks, if not longer.
