I cant believe that Sweden can do better with a Spanish vibe song with Medina than Spain itself, well actually I can, Swedish can create anything and everything
The final qual / andra chansen thingy was so robbed. The entries from the same night got most points cause of recency bias. You should react to the two that realistically would have gone through if this recency bias didnt play and effect: Fröken Snusk (she has #1 song right now, one of the biggest artists in the ”epadunk” genre which dominates the charts right now) Scarlet - a bit of a weird entry its like ”this is halloween” meets some metal style band.
My fave song is maria sur’s when i’m gone but the best staging has to go to marcus and martinus. i literally haven’t seen such sleek staging in idk how long
Honestly, I think Marcus and Martinus takes it this year. Amazing staging first of all and these guys are good singers and performers. The song is pretty good too. Medina puts on a good show, they're very likable and the song will live on the radio stations come summer. But these kinds of entrees usually don't win Melodifestivalen, because there's usually a group of voters who hates it and will not vote for it. And it's a mixed bag with juries. Jay Smith has an amazing voice, but he was also sick before the performance. So the performance in the finals could end up being more powerful. All in all, my favorites are M&M, Maria Sur and Jacqline. I'm hoping M&M wins, because it would be cool to have a duo. And I like this trend that we're seeing more high quality staging in Melodifestivalen.
Jay Smith had one of the best Idol runs in Sweden ever in 2010 btw, he’s an incredible vocalist but I don’t think it really comes through in a basic country song like “Back to my roots” compared to when he’s utilising his rock voice
Jay Smith actually won Swedish Idol 2010! I missed his stages so I´m proud that he got to the finals, but is it a Eurovision song? Maybe not, but still enjoyed his performance last Saturday! I personally LOVE Liamoo and Marcus & Martinus so would love for one of them to go to Eurovision!
Cazzie Opeia has writing credits for Tattoo last year and Jacqlin's "Effortless" this year. She had to basically compete against herself in the 3rd round of Melodifestivalin. The reason Marcus and Martinus didn’t add a final drop is because in Melodifestivalen they have a certain time limit so the program won’t go past the time it’s supposed to be finished. If it wasnt a time limit I think they definitely would add a final drop!! ❤
Personally, I would love it if we sent Cazzi Opeia or Smash into Pieces, but I don’t think that will happen unfortunately. I feel like if we sent Marcus & Martinus Europe will hate us especially if we get jury points.

@noosh101 its kind of telling when you read out his wiki page and skip the non-binary part and then continually refer to them as "he/him"...even the song is about them being non-binary. you are entirely disrespectful and definitely not by accident
Medina would be so cool to send but obviously its gonna be the same pop act as we seen hundred of times with the Norwegian twins. Not saying they are not great, its just boring we never send something different!
I think Jacqline (slick, sexy with a gorgeous bridge), Dotter (a well written song plus I think there are very few ballads in Eurovision this year? ) or Cazzi Opeia (More warm and colorful staging than the entries Sweden usually send, and a nice overall package with a good singer, and a cathy song) should represent Sweden this year.
M&M bore me to tears. The song doesnt ask much of them vocally and their movements look silly to me. I like Annika with "Light". Jacqueline sounds like something Ive heard before, but shes got stage presence and a voice. But anything but My& M or Danny - 🥱 (ducks! 😅)
