Yeah mine would maintain eye contact while slowly pushing my full ashtray onto the floor.
Girlfriend's cat would try to wake her first by sweetly nuzzling her face. She'd pull the covers over her head to get away, so he'd move to the dresser and methodically start pushing things off onto the floor. She'd yell at him, so he'd take the show to the next room and start over. If she had not gotten up by then, he'd move to the kitchen and start knocking things off the counter. As so carefully planned in his scheming little feline brain, he was far enough away that her yellimg did not impress, so she'd have to get up to address his bad behavior which involved a half hearted scolding followed by cat food and treats. Funny to watch as you knew he had it all planned out from the start. They are considerably smarter than we give them credit for. Not all, but some.

We couldn’t figure out how our dog was getting the bread off the top of the fridge, we thought it was the kids just leaving it on the counter. Nope our cat was knocking it off the fridge every day and feeding the dogs!! Mind you, the fridge had no counters around it, he was jumping up straight from the floor, just to knock off the bread and nothing else that was up there!!!

Zoomer30 My cat liked the vacuum. He never attacked anything like those cats with the vacuum attachments. Not even my printer, he would just watch it. But I did have to keep the soft tip brush vacuum attachment, christmas trees, and his grooming brushes away otherwise he would bite and chew the pointy bristle parts. He always wanted me to vacuum his fur mostly on his back with the hose attachment and would get in the way of what I was vacuuming so I'd be forced to vacuum him. I did it safely and cautiously with my fingers past the end so it didnt touch him directly. Basically it probably would have been bad if his skin got sucked into the hose so I made sure it wouldn't happen and it wasn't a very powerful vacuum, otherwise I would not have done it. He sheded a lot and I brushed him but he probably figured hey since your using the hose, see if there is any loose hairs.

My cat will gently push my hand away if he’s not in the mood for petting. I always say “Good boy!” when he does this so he knows that I appreciate gentle communication. He’s DEFINITELY learned that I appreciate it when he communicates with me instead of getting angry.

Luv2cook 138 - In my experience, cats understand simple words and phrases when they hear them all the time in the same context. I ALWAYS say “Good boy!” whenever he does something right. Now he understands that “Good boy!” means that I approve of what he just did. Conversely, when he doesn’t hear “Good boy!” when he does something, he quickly realizes that I don’t approve of what he just did. He uses scratching posts because he hears me say “Good boy!” when he does, but not when he scratches furniture. When he uses the scratching post, I say “Good boy!” and I pet him, and he knows that when I praise him AND pet him, I REALLY approve of what he’s doing.
Every once in a while, he will gently bite my forearm if he wants to be left alone. He is VERY careful not to hurt me, so I always say “Good boy!” when he does that too. Now he has a very good understanding of acceptable ways to let me know he’s not in a good mood.

My tuxedo cat is just dumb as hell. She'll try to hide behind things that are smaller than she is and thinks no one can see her. And once she snuck out of the house and then to try to hide from me she went to our garage and ended up cornering herself between the garage and some wooden pallets. She also scratches on the oven so she can "bury" her food

Well, it doesn't hold a candle to "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" by Philip K Dick. I was very disappointed with the film. Why did they even SUGGEST it was based on his story?
Other than being on Mars, there was nothing even remotely the same. It was a very funny story about a nebbish wanting to be a superhero/James Bond type & turned out he was. Aliens from another galaxy had given him this death ray.

@Trix Sands That makes total sense. This morning my cat brought me a *dead mouse. Horrified, I shrieked and he dropped it. It lay still and he just stared at it. Like for a long time. You've got that right I try my kitty with all kinds of different toys but Tabitha still likes her bottle caps best she does like to climb into things but they all do and she's very curious if there's something new hanging around I wake up in the morning and anything that's paper that she can reach is on the floor !
Donna Curcio I had a calico named Tabitha many years ago. :) She had little black circles around both of her eyes where she reminded me of a raccoon. She got on the roof of my grandparents house one day after jumping up on my grandfather's truck. She was running back and forth until I held up a lawn chair for her to jump down onto. The cats always loved a little weed pulled out of the ground to chase more than any toy from the store. You can get some good cheap toys though.
Me and my GF have bought a toy that when you roll it, It starts to blink in all colours. Our cats are so indifferent to that expenssive one, its not even funny. :P
@@SightForMemories My cat went crazy over Q-tips today. He pulled off the cotton on one side of one and it was stuck onto his back while he hopped around. XD I think he just likes objects that he has never seen before because he gets bored of toys easily. The other day I got a chocolate shake at Arby's and forgot I had put some rolled-up napkins in my pocket. I threw them to him when I got home and he thought it was Christmas!
@Wren Byrd, My old cats liked to play with q-tips aswell. When the leaves are blowing around on the grass outside, my cats go bonkers. especially the young one. "wats that!, whaaaat's that!" Really cute.
