Can we talk about the conditioning of these 2? They were barely sweating in the 5th
umm so no one was tired ?
No, we can't... so just zip it 👖
Sterling was gasping for his life at the end of the fight dude

he only lost the first match because of a bad breakfast, and look how he performed in this match and won rounds 1 2 and 3, good on aljo

I have no idea how the judges gave aljo round 1
Yan walked right into his punches and kicks for like the first half of the round that's how
fanboi desperation at its best!
@@PrinceIsot reality is hard for these fanbois to appreciate.
Not a fan of Sterling so I havent studied him much but this is the first time I've seen him taking risks in the ring and suddenly this is the best showing I've seen from him.
Taking risks?? He literally just held onto yan without even attempting to advance position or get a submission in. He played it safe
he’s got some sick flashy finishes and he subbed cory sandhagen in 90 seconds. he’s got good enough striking to beat good fighters and but his strength is wrestling. good enough on the feet to hang with the elite of the division but you have to go to your best weapon when you’re fighting the best. he says he’s gonna strike with tj to “prove” something but that is how he will lose. if he wrestles he can beat anybody and defend the title for a hot minute but if he tries to please fans and fights with his ego he won’t have the belt after today
@@chrismalinowski654 you just said “I don’t grapple or train striking” without saying “I don’t grapple or train striking”
Sterling didn't took any risks here in this match, Not even once. He was just holding on to body triangle and did nothing significant in his round 2&3. Yan reversed his takedown attempts and ground£ed him in round 4&5, did more significant damage. And FYI, Sterling best showing was against Cory where he submitted him as soon as he took his back. This match against Yan was literally holding for your life type of match, wasting time by just holding him with no advance or causing damage, he's just feared of getting hit.
chito lo parte
Happy Sterling won!
Dana's reaction when he read the cards
Aljo 1,2,3
Peoples can cry Peoples can bitch and complain but the fact still remains the sames good job champ
It's hard for Yan when your opponent keep shooting takedown for like 5 seconds especially in round 5 but you can not allow to knee them when his head constantly exposed lol. Ajo take advantage so much from this rules, more like he trying not to lose than to win
Bad bad bad
Ян
Aljo did a good job avoiding the left hook. Foot work looked good and mixed it up well. That being said that was still a close fight and shows how good Yan is too.
Couldn't resist a "that being said" in there eh? 🥱
Hard to pass up a that being said when it's a perfect time to say what is said. That being said what was said wasn't worth saying it but I said it anyways. I couldn't resist.
@@pennyjerkins7115 lol. You couldn't resist saying something u hear over and over like a mindless zombie. 4th booster time is near 💉
Aljamain lost man, judges messed up
Sterling's wrestling is crazy. He takes your back with much ease and squeezes air out of you.
BJJ*
unfortunately he doesn't do anything. i'm pretty sure yan had more strikes on the bottom than aljo had on top 😂😂
aljo is just embarrassing
All round, uh I suppose it's interesting and unique but major respect to both , I was exhausted watching by round 3
Can’t wait for the trilogy
12:50 Sterlings smile he knows he has Yan making mistakes
They should start giving points for takedown defenses
Horrendous take. Since when should someone get points for defending himself from an attack? Defense has its own reward which is preventing something happening that may lose u the fight 😂
Takedowns don't mean anything in scoring either, unless you fucking slam your opponent if you can't amount any offense it's not effective grappling.
Why?
@@kateember7758 if he shouldn't get points for defending a takedown , why should sterling get the points from holding the back with no significant damage or submissions?
@@snoopshrek8315 working for the submission is literally effective grappling, looking to finish the fight.

Queiro ver una buna guerra. Para desfrutar de la pelea 🇪🇸🇲🇦✌🏼🤞🤞
When they fight a third time Yan needs to figure out how to keep the fight standing. I didn’t know Aljos Jiu Jitsu was so good
The way Sterling transitions to the back while getting his hooks is a thing of beauty. It’s what makes him one of the best back takers at 135
In the ufc
The way he he constantly drags his hands and knees on the floor to try and get another cheap win shows what a female he is. Adopt Pride rules. Real fighting and let's see him play with his life then.
@@Mickey7.2 he would simply change his style lmao. He does it because he's allowed to.
@@Mickey7.2 🤓
@@Mickey7.2 Yeah he was shamelessly taking advantage of the grounded opponent rule. Hate to see it.
Respect to both fighters. 🔥
Good fight? Petr Yan dominated for three rounds, 1.4 and 5. On blows ahead. And Sterling 2 and 3 round lay behind his back without doing anything .

@@user-qo5oz4uu3b oh wow a Russian name crying about their incredibly over hyped fighter getting beat.
Yan has never beat a good fighter in his prime.
@@user-qo5oz4uu3b your opinion sucks. Yan lost 1 2 and 3. 2 was a 10 8. You sound dumb.

Yan needs to learn some chokes and ground game bad it will make him alot better foghter
Chito Vera: "Aljamain Sterling not willing to die in there, but will get a hold of you and ruin your night"..
So true Chito, so true.. Yan can relate to that in this fight.
@Let the flames takeover and judges scores that it is why it will ruin your night if can't do nothing about it
@Let the flames takeover call it what you want. his ass still took that L home with him 🤣💯💪
@Let the flames takeover Very childish take lol
@Let the flames takeover because he dominated yan in the 2nd fight he clearly had a 10-8 Rd but the judges were paid by Dana to try to help yan win
I think it’s all on how you judge round 1. Based on the pressure alone I give it to Petr, probably an unpopular opinion but I have yan winning
not unpopular
Based on the pressure ? So if you walk towards someone and they repeatedly kick you … you win ? Yes my friend your a fool
@@zeefett8953 not exactly walking forward, if you’ve ever been in an octagon you know that applying pressure and walking down an opponent helps win fights, and “walking forward” is actually applying pressure
i kinda give aljo 2 3 4 or 1 2 3 depending on my mood...aljo outstruck him in 1 got his back albeit high thretened triangle in 4...aljo won
Lmaoo that’s not an unpopular opinion that’s the opinion of most of the people who have seen this damn fight everyone knows yan was robbed and if they fight again I believe y’all will be more collected and those Judges better not give it away again
2-0 Yan fans just as bad as Khabib/ Conor fans
How tf did two judges give Aljo two rounds?
The 2nd and 3rd was clearing his lol
ajamin has good ground game but lack ko power
That was some high level shit.
Yan should go into the next fight much more composed. He fought angry and thought there is no way he can lose
Out of all the fighters in the UFC I find Petr Yan’s fighting style the best switching to unorthodox to orthodox, High guard with one arm sticking out to parry punches, other arm always on his face for hooks, legs always straight up and close to each other for checking kicks easily some might say it’s bad to have that Muay Thai stance like Petr Yan because it’s easier for your opponent to get a double leg take down but if you’re as good as Petr Yan you have nothing to worry about even tho he lost he’s still my favorite fighter in the UFC right now
Aldo did it better
No ground game tho. Gotta know how to grapple into submissions to be the best.
@@markbay9275 we hardly see Yan go for a takedown tho how do we know that his ground game is bad the only time we see him grapple is when someone try’s to shoot for a takedown we’ve seen it when he fought Cory sandhagen but petr did lose to sterling in the grappling sequences but still stuffed 22 takedowns from sterling
@@anjiemaru1800 Im sure Yan's ground game isnt "bad" but these are all world class MMA fighters. His niche isnt on the ground.
People try to take advantage of that high gaurd by shooting for takedowns alot.
