Legends. D-Low wanted to vote for Helium, but changed his mind last second. Though I wish he didn't. That'd be fucking epic, just imagine: 2-2 and an extra round vote from Reeps. I know that extra rounds were against rules, but ChadsOne did not care about such miniscule details. We were robbed of the most epic extra round in beatbox history on top of the most epic battle. Later, Helium admitted that he fucked up after his counter and lost the vibe. Mentioned his inexperience in battles. But I think he did the right thing, stayed true to his own style. Despite this loss, this battle was the tuning point for Helium. His fanbase increased tenfolds, which allowed him to quit his normie job and become a full time musician. The rest is history.
The tech heavy beats, super high BPM and crazy time signatures is very impressive and I get it for battling. It’s not something anyone is going to listen to on the daily. While some of the newer styles of mixing in vocal covers with nice beats is, even king inertia here was much nicer as a musical composition even if not as crazy fast or whatever. I much prefer something you can just bop along with.
Yeah, it's sad that he stopped the counter. He said in one of his streams I think that he didn't even know himself why he stopped the counter. He also said that after that counter he probably would have done his iconic inward bass beat, I don't really know the exact name but, I'm sure you know how it goes, "A little party never killed nobody"... Would have been legendary to see him do that on stage but, alas. He may have even won if he did that, although, in my opinion he still won this based on many factors.
this is one of the legendary battles

Helium's counter was legendary, but the fact that he stopped it so abruptly took a little wind out of his sails in my opinion.

@@Nixn_Music I totally agree. Helium should have won this battle. Technically he was way better. KI was just the people's favourite at the time

@@Mghammer7110 Who said that?
Using an opponents special technique or combo is a common countering method.
