Create a multifloor labyrinth/maze with traps if you go the wrong way. Doors lining the entire way can basically make the entire building potentially unraidable. The weakness in this video's design may potentially be covered.
I already did this years ago. The base got so long that it got too close to a clan base and they couldn’t expand. First they tried raiding it then realized it was impossible and finally made a deal with me to destroy the piece too close to them in return for unlimited guns
I've seen people attempt bases like this, but unless you're playing modded the cost is going to be insane. To raid this one would just cut the snake in half, whichever side is decaying is not the tc side, rinse and repeat. Most likely though the attempt wouldn't be worth it.
making a wheel would make that issue a lotharder - a circle with connections through the middle. a simple circle would need you to raid it on at least two spots already.
@@schurging22 ya I was thinking the same thing multi tc is easy but then they can take control so I think a circle within more circles is kinda OP as well
@@kuzu958 The way I see it control is ok to lose because they have to find which section is the "real" section, unless you divide up where each piece is etc etc.
Raid the middle \ separate TC from other blocks. Wait 10 mins for decay to appear. Narrows it down. Do this 2-3 times to easily find TC \ Watch the base decay and get loot. Nice idea though.
This is a fun idea. You could even make it have an extra door. It does mean that once someone knows where the tool cubboards are it's over. Though you could always make this a wider or higher as well
I kind of thought the point was that every section was separated by a door, meaning that unless someone got really lucky, they would have to punch through a ton of doors to get through. Also, isn't this easily raided by just cutting it in half, waiting for which side decays, then repeating the process a few more times to nail where the TC is. I feel like doing this, but having a circle instead, separated with doors at every single segment, would make this a lot more difficult to raid. I'm also kind of surprised there's no false entry points in this base. Laying a trap or two, such as an intentionally-reversed wall surrounded by fully-reinforced doors, would potentially trick someone thinking of raiding into wasting all of their raid munitions on nothing (perhaps if that's too obvious then something more subtle could be employed, but still it's worth considering). Cool video, but the base seems very flawed.
Wouldn‘t it be smarter to build the pieces in an expanding circle like a snake rolled up? That way you‘ll have the same effect but reduce accessibility to all cubes while being able to protect it?!
@@asonofliberty3662 True, but then you’re sacrificing the whole point of the snake coil idea to have its shape protect itself. Unless you are just gambling on mind games helping.
I see a lot of people saying that cutting the base in half and waiting for decay would be an "easy" way to raid this base, but this wouldn't be economic at all. You'd have to cut the connection completely, which likely would mean taking out more than just the foundation. And you'd have to do this multiple times if you wanted to narrow it down. Considering the key locks, potential for loot and possible cost... This base wouldn't be a raid target for me unless there was a personal motive. You could definitely just listen for TC tho. However, you could overcome this if you where really careful. Have all inner doors wired up to close at the same time with a lever, crouch around and keep campfires to see if anyone is lingering.
You would just need the boom for the foundations and eco raid the walls and ceiling and then wait for the decay. A lot less expensive, but still quite some effort.
This is cool but it isnt really expandable. Unlike a big block base, it has very little volume and super high surface area, meaning that it would cost way more to cover. I think you'd be better off meeting in the middle on this one by adding larger areas and heavily armored joints/doors in the middle, so it has some of the advantage of the snake base but is less expensive + more space in each unit
I don't understand what you mean by it has very little volume, every 1x1 space has the same amount of volume. Say you took all the 1x1s he did in this line and turned them into a 3x3 stacked 5 blocks high (or however tall it could be) it would be the same amount of volume.
i made some concepts about it actually and i found it to be horribly expensive while losing the advantage of splash damage reduction the snake version has.
I feel like the massive lack of doors between every "room" makes it somewhat mathematically easy to raid. You could also cut it in half, wait to see if one side deteriorates. Then cut the half in half.
@Yexom i have a suggestion for you: try to build a favela town of smallest possible bases which gives you the chance to move between and over buildings while denying that advantage to intruders. i believe that strategy is the most OP one since you have dozens of TCs which can easily cost 12 rockets to raid, making the whole compound easy to maintain and build while insanely expensive to raid.
Easy to mantain? For a solo? With what materials? 🥲 The larger you build the more it costs to mantain it. Unless you want your entire gameplay is hitting rocks and chopping trees making villages and favelas isn’t doable. 😅 Plus that in the end some clan will mslr the shizz out of your favela until digging you out from under it. 🥴
Protip - if you are in a shootout try to change positions between shots if possible - if you keep popping up in the same location they can keep aiming at the same location waiting for you to appear- at 3:17 where you were shooting from the edge of the warehouse was a really bad position. They had several places to take cover and the ability to change positions when you took cover.

Well you could jackhammer it once you breake the 1.st wall. You can split the base like this and if you cant place a tc in one direction, but can in another, you can pin-point the location.
A really good base idea would be to make a big tall base with a bunch of different rooms, with like 3 doors to each room, but like 20 different rooms it would be impossible to ever get tc unless you just fully foundation wipe
The secret to raiding a snake base is to blow it up in the middle. With the two halves disconnected, the part not connected to TC starts decaying. You can then either wait 2 hours to see what you managed to get in the decaying half and decide if you will continue to raid, or once you see which side is decaying, you cut the non-decaying half in half again. 4 rockets wipes two foundations and two walls, use a jackhammer to finish the disconnect via softside. assuming you went 60 blocks long to begin with, 8 rockets in will have it narrowed down to 15 squares, and the raider will most likely have 75% of your loot. The secret to not giving away where loot is, is to never utilize triangle pieces for shelving
You had a great idea, but here’s a way to improve it maybe. You made one big line, you could instead made it like a tree, perhaps random blocking walls to force it so if they cut off parts is much slower. Decay and door listening I saw are the hugest weaknesses, if you make this in the style of mineshaft tunnels or like roots branching from a central point, then getting to the middle they might think to be the TC. And this is why it is silly: I just need to find the middle, disconnect it by breaking the walls and foundation. The half that starts to decay is not the one with the tool cupboard. I repeat for the middle of the half that has the tool cupboard, etc. etc. 64 squares means I have to break six squares, not so much for a normal raid.
