NCT-Dream's "My First and Last" is kind of like the Kpop version of the 1980s song "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen or 2003's "Stacy's Mom" by the American rock band Fortunes of Wayne. LOL. And some even compare it to "Replay" by SHINee. Because all of these songs are about teenagers having a crush on an older woman. :D If you watch the regular MV version you will see that they are all supposed to be high school students who have a crush on their "hot" teacher. So they are dancing in the school gym because it has to do with the theme of the MV. That is also why the choreography is extra fun and youthful because it's all about kids trying to impress their teacher to get her to notice them.
This queen got NCT as a whole their first ever #1 on a music show and first (and only) triple crown (when a song wins #1 on a music show for 3 consecutive weeks). Also, the choreographer for this is the same as SHINee's Sherlock and NCT 127's Cherry Bomb, which are some of the most iconic choreos in kpop, so it couldn't be anything but a legend as well! Yeay!! This is my number 1 favorite NCT Dream song. Thanks for reacting to this 🙌 A few years ago, they performed this on a wet stage in Dream Concert (If I'm not mistaken. It's annual concert where many groups & singers performed) because it's raining. We can clearly hear at the beginning they were giggling and some said "aaaa!" due to lying down on a wet stage, and they still nailed the performance flawlessly. They're also having fun because they got to play and splash water to each other especially Jisung 😂

I love this song and this choreography so much I can't even explain it with words. There is another version of this dance they filmed at the end of 2018 with 7 members instead of 6. This comeback was supposed to include all 7 members but Jaemin had to go on hiatus at that time. That's why some of their formations feel like there is a space left for him. NCT Dream really got a choreography with a lot of floor work. I remember that Korean video focusing on all their imagery formations and it's fun how some of them were actually already done by groups from the 1st generation of Kpop (so maybe that's why there is such a 90s/early 00s feels to it) Once again thank you for reacting to our Dreamies!

Chris - my view of Kpop groups so far - A tie #1 - SHINee / sharing in #1 BTS (they are totally different like comparing The Rolling Stones to the Beatles). Coming up with a vengeance SuperM. They are so strong and deep with talent. They've got it all -- the faces, dancers (Taemin & Kai) and singers. All they need is good material and there will be no stopping them.
