Thank you, Thank you. After 14 year of service, the hose popped off. I found the hose shrunk considerably on the liquid side of the clamp. I replaced it for $5 at a local rubber store. The guy was confused on the size. So we cut it. The dry side was the original size and still soft and pliable. The liquid side was smaller and very hard. I'm thinking the length shrunk the same amount until it popped off.
How about for the model of GLD4408R10WW (10-year-old GE dishwasher)? We also have water leaking issue, can it be also the same issue and can it be a DIY project? If so which part should I buy? Thanks!
Mine has started leaking after 14 year of service, kind of difficult to believe a clamp would just get loose, suspecting more likely a hose has split or developed pinhole leak, but it's something I can check easy enough!
I have a leaking Hotpoint (Americana) dishwasher that is leaking underneath. Could be the loose clip but I see no videos for that make. Any one seen any? All repair folks and plumbers advice is get a new unit. I need to try fix first! Also, is it ok to put on a 2 way valve for hot water and dishwater inlet water pipe? Any help appreciated.
Same exact dishwasher and now it's leaking from the bottom but this hose is connected. I did have this hose disconnect before but from the top instead. I have fixed a few issues with this dishwasher but this one is puzzling me as all hoses are secure.
I had the exact same issue. I also have a GE dishwasher. Thank you. You saved me a lot of money
It’s almost guaranteed to happen at some point on this specific model, glad you got it fixed

Where do I put the black hose back onto?

Believe it because the clamps he uses are crap and they come loose. Mine did that from the top same exact black hose
So the black hose just came loose ? That’s all and you replaced the clamp?
Ya it's a common problem with this particular model

That should be fine but i'm not a licensed plumber so take my advice at your own risk. I would pull the dishwasher out and track down that leak :)

Drain pump seal maybe?
Did you have to unplug the dishwasher?
I didn’t have to but it’s good practice to unplug power when working on appliances
Thank you so much!
Open the dishwasher door Hal...I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid I can't do that...
Estimated cost of repair!?
Extremely hard question to answer. Maybe 1-200?
Video quality is great, but it would be more useful with commentary describing your observations and what you’re doing.
Noted, thanks for watching!
Amen!
Ughhh, I have a portable version and now I know I'm gonna have to flip it on its side :/
WAY too many complicated steps for average Joe (or Jane!)!! too many dohinkies to then put back in place to make sure everything is SAFELY IN PLACE.
This one is actually pretty easy 👍
Sorry that you had to bust your knuckle. Dang ouch
All 👍
Stopped watching when you pulled the dishwasher by the handle and dragged it across the floor
😂😂😂
Talking would help
Could breathe a little better without that stupid mask.
