What a super nice video beautiful scenery. Sorry about the dudes checking out your camp at night. Good info and you make a great looking trash bag. Enjoy your backpacking.
Mohican is a really nice place. The Park N Pack sites go fast. Did you register for your site? A lot of people don’t register and unfortunately those who don’t register will have to give up that site. I have that chair. I recommend the ground mat. The mat provides structural support and keeps you from sinking into soft surfaces. I use the Frog Tog poncho. Nice adventure. Take Care and Keep Exploring The Outdoors.
Great content, I love Mohican so many options there for backpacking. Long trips, short trips, whatever you're looking for, they've got it. I just subbed to your channel and looking forward to more from you. Maybe I'll see you down there some time. -dave
Glad you liked the video and thanks for the sub buddy! You’ll see a lot more videos from Mohican. Sometimes it’s the only option close enough for me if I have a busy weekend.
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking Ya same here, I just watched your first video and caught that you are in NE Ohio, same here. Mohican is the closet I found for the quick weekend. My nephew and I are supposed to go to Raccoon creek state park PA this weekend, which for me is just a little further. We did Oil Creek PA last year. MIght be an option for you as well.
I’m headed to Shawnee this weekend. I’ve had the opposite experience with the same Frogg Toggs ul2(I cut the legs off since I only wear shorts year-round). Way more waterproof than my OR Helium 2. Other than some ember holes (quickly patched with duct tape) no problems. I wear it at work all the time and I work as a mover, carrying furniture up and down stairs, etc. Knock on wood. I record with my iPhone xr and looking for a mic. Which one did you get?
Couple of observations on the Frogg Toggs. The jacket isn’t bad. The pants literally ripped in half before I stepped foot on trail. The jacket is worth the $20 but I’d just throw the pants in the trash. In cold climates where getting wet in the cold is a potential death sentence, I’d have to say hard pass. I have the Shure MV-88 microphone. The thing is amazing. Just be aware you have to have an open bottom case because the lightning connector sits flush with the phone. The Apple store will have open bottom cases that are compatible.
The jacket is decent enough for light rain but it doesn’t breathe at all. If someone was on a budget it would be fine for overnighters until they could upgrade to something better but I can’t say I’d recommend it lol

Yeah, I always register. Not everyone does though. I've had multiple situations where there were 2-3 parties at one campsite.
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking I stayed at site 7 and site 3. I want to try the other sites too. You’re doing great with your channel.
dude, that chair! 1lb and its like a full chair!
I honestly love it, game changer lol

Enjoy dude, Mohican is always a good time.

I have some PA trips on the radar this year. Most places in PA are actually closer to me than southern Ohio.
The most handsome trash bag 😆
