Oofah! This was a rough one. I really struggled with this drawing. I couldn’t decide on the pose. You can see me drawing and redrawing this pose until I got it right.
Sometimes the drawing flows like water and sometimes it fights you.
But don’t give up. Practice makes perfect.

I love how solid your figures look, even without any shading. I guess it's the overlapping of the various body parts that gives it that 3-dimensional feeling, and in this drawing, the concentric circles on the arms and legs.

Dude you ain't lying about the struggle. I have those days too and man is it frustrating. And like you said....walk away and return with fresh eyes. Or do what the late Kim Jung Gi said..."stop and draw something you're good at." and then come back to it.
