Diaz's striking out Schwarber was the single most important moment of this game. Got him looking, too!
Huge head to head matchup , kill or be killed , no hitter destroys baseballs quite like schwarber , , esp fastballs , ,.
@@bucketboy12345 another player was on base, too. If Schwarber hit a home run there the whole dynamic of the game changes. So happy Diaz is dominating hitters again.
how bout Mendoza for manager of the year (though i guess the Brewer manager will probably get it) but for the mets to have been 11 under .500 to now 17 over is insane, that means they've gone 28 games over .500
If this a 3 game playoff series, the Mets would be in the next level of the playoffs .
If this had been a 3 game playoff, all the games would have been in Philly and Walker would have never pitched and the Mutts would be on fall vacation!

Mets are finishing the season, while playing their best. Their relief pitching has been better too. They can beat any team if they continue to play this well.
It'll be a whole new season. Hot streaks in mid-September are not the biggest indicator of playoff success.
@@joelwexler Remember what happened two years ago. They won over 100 games, but played mediocre in September. It carried over in the playoffs. Their hitting was down, and Dagram was the only one who pitched well.
