I’ve always hated the phrase, “don’t leave it in the hands of the judges,” but I think this fight between Rose and Carla is the perfect time to say it. Never purposefully leave a fight so close in the hands of the judges when you can easily do more. I get it the game plan was to fight safe and avoid the takedowns, but her corner should gave clearly explained to her in between rounds that these rounds were so close the judges could see it any which way. They should gave told her, it’s fine to be cautious, but you have to make sure you are clearly winning each round.
Agreed and Rose should have felt something at some point that she needed to do more. She reaction at the end seemed fake like she kept trying to convince herself that she did more to win than she actually did. What a disappointing fight.
Rewatching Tony’s KO, he just looks so confused and absolutely lost. It was tough to see especially considering how dominant he was looking against Chandler. MMA is just unbelievable sometimes.
@@nnamdiasomougha3587 The whole dynamic with Shat Barry right in the way of Trevor was so weirdly obvious the entire fight. also garth said at 8:45 that oliveira "hits hard as f*ck" that begs the question. just how good is dustin poiriers chin to eat all of oliveiras punches like they were nothing? 🤔
It will be an absolutely stupid move to give title shot again to both these chokers like gaethje and dustin. They dont just choke... both of them got choked once by khabib and secondly by oliveira. Just give them mid ranked fighters and say farewell to them.... both of them can never ever get this belt.
Charles Oliveira has one of the best team around him if not the best! Good for him, I am rooting for this guy! He is everything that champ should represent.. big respect
Justin’s comment to Charles saying that he “hits hard as ****” is so satisfying to me. Now we know for a fact that Charles’s hits are on par with Chandler and everyone else in the division. If Gaethje says he hits hard, and Gaethje went three rounds in a war with Chandler, then we know for a fact that Do Bronx isn’t only technically near perfect but also hits incredibly hard. What a fantastic fighter and great event.
It's funny seeing Burns damn near in tears jumping around happy for Oliveira and Usman right behind him looking around awkwardly knowing his teammate just got choked out and forced to quit in his home town in front of his family. 0-2 Trevor Wittman

Charles last 2 victims have been my 2 favorite fighters. It’s hard as hell to not like the guy knowing his story. But that being said Dustin and Justin need to fight again. It’ll be a banger.

Really funny and at the same time really ironic how Justin Gaethje labeled Charles Oliveira a coward and a quitter leading up to the fight, only to get knocked down before being forced to quit or tap out under Charles' RNC. Gaethje acknowledged that Charles hits hard af
Michael Chandler said don't sleep on Charles' power. he's very very deceptive, there's a reason why people aren't comfortable against him on feet it's not just the jiu-jitsu threat. it's his striking skills matching with his impeccable timing and placement of strikes. Charles is actually an accurate striker, not accurate as McGregor was but it's enough to scare people on feet.

That reaction from Trevor Witman at 7:56 is something we have never seen before
Right, and it totally makes sense with Gaethje swinging and definitely not following Wittmans plan. And he didn't get a chance to correct him since it didnt go past a round
gaethje didnt follow the gameplan. if he stayed composed. he would've pieced oliveira up. but he got nervous and starting swinging. heck, he literally knocked himself down trying to throw a loaded up overhand right
He’s probably reacting that way because he knows how hard they trained, and he knows Gaethje has the tools to do it but Gaethje just can’t get out of that dog mindset and just throws technique out the window.
@@fanofmma101 dude I was rootin for Gaethje but when he did that I was like bro there’s no way you’ve got back here just to do that.
