Courage to allow people in. This talk is great but should have had must more of the side that allowed people in and what some of those people did. Sorry Justice Nariman, but you erred on at least two counts, first Gandhiji was a staunch supporter of Chaturvarna system, so to call him a crusader against untouchability is a folly. Another one is your claim that Buddhists were harboured by India, the fact is Buddhism was systematically demolished by early Hindu preachers, notably Shankaracharya. Buddhism and Jainism were two major religions inhabiting amicably , till invader Aryans and their consociates systematically decimated thousands of Buddhist and Jain monks. Their vihars and Deta sara were demolished making way for temples. Many famous temples still have signs og Buddhism on its walls and pillars. I respect your vast knowledge, but you need to go deeper into ancient Indian history.
If every faith teaches only love, why then a few ones have conversion as a tenet? Therefore, any amity achieved can only be ephemeral and can't be lasting. The word love pulls wool over the tenet of proselytising, which by definition conveys intolerance in accepting others as they are. That way Dr Ambedkar was the only honest one in writing unequivocally that Islam operates itself as a State. That applies to all Abrahamic faiths. Only Ambedkar alone had the courage to discuss all faiths on their merits and examine their fundamental tenets on their merits. Love again by definition should be, as gift is defined in law, unconditional. Seeking subscribers is not love.

We have a constitution which uphold fraternity,equality,liberty and justice.Even though it is in the constitution ,is every indian upholding it every time?
