Sir...how come -i^2 be a generator? I guess the first thing you wrote was correct(-i^2)=1...but you changed it to -1...I haven't understood that part...

i2 = sqrt(-1)*sqrt(-1) = sqrt(-1*-1) = sqrt(1) = 1
