On many modern pop songs they simply use a 2 bar measure drum beat (like this one) all the way through the song. Alternatively, you could copy and paste instead of looping the 2 bar measure, then change the copy that plays during the chorus, to make the song more interesting (often this is done by simply moving the hihat notes from the hihat row to the Ride cymbal row).
