In Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game, the hunger takes hold after many superheroes in the Marvel Universe have been turned into zombies. You play as these infected heroes and will be eating people to satisfy your hunger...and objectives within the game.
Marvel Zombicide is a stand-alone game using mostly the same Zombicide mechanics but set in the Marvel Universe.

Gambit only took two actions on turn one.
When Moon Knight left the building on turn two, Captain Marvel should have moved there and damaged MK and Giant-Man. Having Giant-Man go first would solve this tactical problem.
After Giant-Man devoured Ben Urich, his Hunger should have reset to 0.
Also, Magneto and Moon Knight both could have devoured Karen Page rather than trying so hard to Devour Captain Marvel (though it worked out in the end).
Happy Hogan should have had two escorts.

I think I have to get used to the system a bit more + thinking of using a different way to keep track of the amount of actions used when playing solo 😅.
When you devour, doesn’t the order count? Aren’t you supposed to go for the higher enemy instead of the bystander?
@@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 You’re correct. That’s my mistake. In every other version of Zombicide, ranged attacks obey target priority but melee attacks do not. I just double checked and melee is affected by target priority in this version, including devour!

So, the way I play is different and it makes the gameplay stronger and more challenging. Unless there is a door to the buildings in the layout, I don't assume that there is door to begin with and all bystanders and soldiers spawn at once. That way, if I draw a hero card or two, there is the sense of immediate interaction for heroes to try and stop the zombie heroes and there are plenty of enemies to face and create a sense of the zombie heroes not just annihilating everything too easily.
That sounds like an interesting variant for sure!
Thank you for the video! It's very cool to have the Zombie Hero card on the screen when you play their turn :) In general it was a nice mission to follow. Fingers crossed for no more recordings issues though 😅
As it was mentioned in other comments, it would be nice to have something else than the base mission of the core box next time. A random one from the X-Men core box could be interesting but I would really like to see any missions from the other expansions (Sinister Six, The Guardians, etc) with their related characters to make it thematic 😊 I don't know all the specific rules in those expandions so it would be cool to discover them in a playthrough!
I'm hoping to do a team vs team soon and will definitely play another X-Men mission as well.
Who am I kidding, I'm planning on exploring all of the different mechanics ^^

@@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 I'd love to see some of the cool minis from the Sinister Six (Zombie Venom/Mysterio/Doctor Octopus) but Thor, Juggernaut and Iceman looks cool too :)
As many have said, would love to see a playthrough of some of the X-men missions. I’ve personally played through MZ1 about 5 times, and watched RUclips playthroughs of at least 3-4 more so returns wise, you might get a lot more interest with some of the stuff everyone else is still chomping at the bit for.
That being said, love watching game playthroughs. From my experience, once you have a couple playthroughs done and know the game well, it’s actually really fun to play with others. It gets harder to min-max strategy, but you make up for it by constantly being surprised at other viable strategies and problem solutions other people come up with (even the drunk ones)
Yeah, I used the base scenario more for myself than for everyone else :D. at least the Promo Box stuff was new! But yeah I'm planning on going through everything and make videos so no worries there :).
I think rule wise it's always better to play with other people, it limits the mistakes. I'm looking forward to trying it with some friends soon. The drunk version definitely sounds intriguing :D

Haha yeah but on the other hand it made the easy mission a lot more challenging which is not necessarily a bad thing imo. My first try with the base heroes really was very easy compared to this one.

@@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 I mean that does look good on this promos box since they managed to survive basically every hero card being drawn fairly early and still win
I think it was a blessing in disguise that there weren’t too many other units on the board when they spawned. If they spawned a couple of rounds later it would have been quite a bit more difficult 😰.
Can you do the x-men box and the clash of the sinister six?

@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 Dark Phoenix would be cool to see in action for the x-men box. For the pvp box it would be interesting to do random heros for both sides 😀
29:40 that counts as an attack so you should have increased gambit hunger and become ravenous

Looks like you ended with 2 ravenous zombies, you can't exit while ravenous - recently had a close call on that

@@somanygamessolittletimesmg7725 Actually, to correct myself I looked at it again after a review of the rules and the faq, it’s worded in a awkward way but you can actually Escape while ravenous, so no worries.
There are more than 50 missions in the full KS version of the game, so I don't think it is a good idea to play the first retail mission, which people with the game have access to, and every RUclipsr has already done a playthrough of.
Please show some of the more unusual missions from the expansions.
Yeah this was more for myself to be honest. Just to get more comfortable with the rules while at the same time at least offering a little bit of new stuff.

When Moonknight moved through Giant man it would have activated captain marvel because there was a Bystander in that zone.

There were a few mistakes as pointed out by others, but we all make them, especially when it's a new game. You could have a avoided the Cap Marvel problem by either devouring Karen from range with Giantman or moving her into your zone with Magneto's ability. You can do X-men next then a mission from each expansion. I'd like to see Thanos in a mission, as player or enemy...
