Alex Trebek (of Jeopardy!) passed away 8 days ago. We want to dedicate the memory of this taping to him. He also was a great philanthropist and a family man and a former Thoroughbred Farm Owner. May he #RIP. (1940 - 2020).
I grew up in Toronto, Canada so I was familiar with Mr. Trebek long before he was known in the US. He actually studied at the University of Ottawa and was very proud of his Canadian heritage. Over the years he donated more than $10 million to the University of Ottawa for media studies. He hosted a high school game show on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) called "Reach for the Top" and you could see even then that he was a gifted host.
This game should get a revival, I'd like to see it on NBC daytime along with some other game show maybe Super Password, who would be the right host for Classic Concentration is my thought,
A big win for JD in his 1 game of his 2-pt. episode, he won 7 prizes totaling $10,180 + in part 2, he had another big win, but didn't win as bigger as last time, where his total came to: $6,885.
I liked the bit where Alex had to play with one of the sliders on the board. It made me wonder if Vanna White would have been available to help out there. Wheel of Fortune would have still been taping at NBC at the time, right?
Cars at stake in the Car Round in each episode: Toyota Tercel (not a good car) Oldsmobile Cutlass (good car) Hyundai Excel (don't care much for it) Pontiac Sunbird (same as the Excel) Ford Taurus (best car up there, I'll bet) Merkur (can't make out the model) Mitsubishi Precis (not a very good car) Dodge Shadow (nor is this)
Yes, I agree with Mr Meeley's comments about reviving old classic game shows such as: Tattletales,Whew, Super Password Plus....their called game shows why? "Classics Never go out of Style"!
Good game. JD did well for himself. I loved thos commercials...Louis Rich (my favorite brand of turkey products back in the day) and...too funny...Paw Barker...Alcabone! Cute. That Eric sounded delicious. I hope he won his next game and stuck around for awhile.
why can't they bring Concentration back? CBS should do it. They could replace that stupid "The Talk" with Concentration. It would be far cheaper to make and I bet the ratings would be far better.
This is the worst puzzle in the games history. First of all, it looks like ALL, not AN. 2nd, the baby is crying, not laughing, which ruins tickle. The hill looks like a fat woman. The oo is two zeros, no letters and she looks like she's exercising so the double zero is so misleading and that's way too high up o n the leg That is NOT the shin

thru 1991
Actually, Wheel of Fortune would have moved over to CBS for the fall of 1989.

The reboot of Password is in the works. Jimmy Fallon will be producer and host of the reboot version.

The cars were very ugly back then the only downfall of the 80s, except the Grand National, that was a nice car
I wouldnt go for the shares of pan am :D it be worthless after 1991
Why did they start opening 4 doors right off the bat?
Time constraints....we took too long on the first puzzle.
This isn't from 89, that Taurus (ugly) is a 86-87
100 shares of Pan Am, which went bankrupt 2 years later.
what do these black gloves mean..."black power"?
This took me off guard just a tad.
hes an idiot who also wasted a take.
100 shares of Pan Am = zilch today
Was the Pan Am a sort of gag prize? (Not needed in this version) Was Pan Am even around at that time??
it wasn't too long after pan am 103 bombing that this episode took place.
Oh wow, forgot. Nice gesture on their part then.
