All e-mini future traders should know the key dividend reinvestment dates for big S&P 500 index funds. On 28jun2021 and 28sep2021, two of the biggest S&P 500 index funds, Vanguard VFIAX (222.4 Billion) and TSP C fund(251.5 Billion) automatically reinvest the quarterly dividends for their fund holders. This means a combined 1.77 Billion of shares being bought on these days, a huge upward pressure. Vanguard publishes their VFIAX dividend reinvestment date but TSP does not publish their C fund dividend reinvestment date. However, C funds share prices reflect that their dividend reinvestment matches the VFIAX dividend reinvestment dates.
Thank you. Thumb's up. Questions pls: 1. Why did you place a (SELL LIMIT) order? Why not - since you're long - continue to increase/raise your (SELL STOP), as the price increased? This way, you're not limiting yourself with the gain...as the gain may have been much more, had you allowed the (SELL STOP) to end your trade, instead of the (SELL LIMIT) to end your trade? 2. Was this from THINK OR SWIM (TD Ameritrade)...although I'd heard you say "GORILLA TRADING"? Thank you again.

one more thing.....even if i place the stop order 4, 5 ticks away....the sniper finds me and eats my dinner. even when I am going with the trend ..I would love to hear others' honest takes!
I'm confused. I watched your Video and thought "all that for a $9 gain or what?" and suddenly your win was 300 dollars. Sorry, i'm really new to trading
No need to apologize! We all started some where, so first of all this was on the ES or E-Mini S&P 500, on the ES there are 4 ticks in 1 point, a tick is simply the smallest amount of movement price can make. Each tick is also worth $12.50, that means that a point or 4 ticks is worth $50. The majority of futures accounts are margin accounts, now depending on volatlity the broker can raise the required amount needed. These quotes are per one contract, so to trade 1 ES contract you would need to keep a balance of $500. If while you are in the trade you balance goes below $500, you run the risk of getting a margin call. Hope that helps, check out our free course for some more info. You can scalp the mes, all new futures traders should trade one of the micros. The mes is the .most expensive micro at 1.25 per tick check out or blog for info on all the others link in description above.
I sure will!! Thanks so much and I'm strongly thinking about being a member too!
@@jamieburkard3429 Awesome let me know if you have any other questions !! Hope to see you in the Gorilla Family soon!!
Gorilla Futures isn’t the MNQ the most expensive being $2 per tick ? I am just confuse...
how much could you of lost?
Could of lost $250.00
How much does each micro contract cost?
each micro requires you to keep a balance of $50 in your account ( 2 contracts you need $100 )
@@GorillaFutures got it. Thanks. I’m so used to options where it shows the price of the contract. The transition to adding futures has been a little confusing.
@@jakevillaret If you can understand options you should be able to grasp futures. Futures are much less complicated in my opinion.
@@GorillaFutures thanks I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Have a great day
@@jakevillaret anytime, if you have any more questions let me know.
Hi, I really like your videos and I am interested in learning more, but your website is not working properly on my smartphone unfortunately
That's weird it's working on both my android and my iPhone. If you could send me an email at gorillafutures@gmail.com I can get all the information sent over to you!
I heard you say "3 minutes left in the candle." I usually see you trade a 4500 tick. Were you on a time chart on this trade? How do you choose which chart to use?
I always have a 5 min chart up on my screen, sometimes there will be a signal on the 5 min that's not on the 4500 tick. The signals /entries are the same
@@GorillaFutures so you use the same strategy with either chart?
@@livefuturesdaytradingdiscu3817 yep, and that goes for any size tick chart or minute chart
@Gorilla Futures, can you speak to your experience on stop loss, your trade is so orderly, I'm trading with TD and they are eating me alive, I would love o tell you the stop orders are preserving my capital, but their retail programmers picking me off like a good train sniper, I feel I am just helping their bottom line in commission while they take out my stop orders . .
one more thing.....even if i place the stop order 4, 5 ticks away....the sniper finds me and eats my dinner. even when I am going with the trend ..I would love to hear others' honest takes!
@@inclair8610 then you need to find a better entry signal and if you are using a 4or 5tick stop in this market you are going to have lots of issues.
Great video
Thanks dave!
Also if there is anything feel free to shoot us an email or simply reply to this. www.gorillafutures.com/free
@@GorillaFutures thank you very much for your detailed answer! I appreciate it 😊 now it's much clearer to me. Subscribed :)
@@tobifzzle Your welcome! Thanks for being a subscriber!!
And how many more times I have been taken out of the same type of trade when it hits my stop. Win some, lose more
Can't win them all unfortunately 😕
Do you offer chat room and alerts? If yes , how to join your community?
Yes there is a chatroom, I post my trades live when I enter. If you would like to join follow this link. Thanks! www.gorillafutures.com/priceactioncourse
Gorilla Futures is there a free trail period?
@@darklord9146 There is a free basic course and all the free content we put out weekly.
Gorilla Futures I meant the chat room?
@@darklord9146 at the moment we do not offer a free trial for the chat.
I was looking for a video on how to manage my daily profit or loss in the micros. I don't think this is good money management for small accounts. Was that a 300% profit. Also understanding percentage is important to. I only been trading for about year with real money and newbies better leaner how to take a hit with real money! Trying to learn daily percentage profit lose. I think I'm expecting to much per day and over trade.
why not just trade the es mini's, lots of fees with multiple contracts? charting I assume is the same.
most would be scared cuz of emotions and just sell that when it was low
Gotta learn to control your emotions(easier said then done) thanks for watching.
so you are spending $250 to make $300? Assuming you need $50 dollars per a contract?
Its simply margin needed to be held in the account .
What's up man?! I just subscribed to your channel. I literally just started to trade Futures (MES). I'm hoping we can learn from each other!
Awesome, let me know if you have any questions!
@@GorillaFutures did you trade this past Friday's craziness??
@@OptionsTradingChannel yep pretty much every day except major news days.
I have lost $753 since I first started with a $400 deposit on 1/26 with NinjaTrader.
I can't seem to ever find an entry or exit. I then bought software that gives me indicators, and 90% of the time it sets me up for loss.
I wish I'd spent $800 on lotto tickets instead.
Garry sorry you are having issues. These videos only scratch the surface on how we trade. I know many people try to take advantage of all the free videos we put out ( which is awesome) but these videos only scratch the surface and you really need to learn more then what a video offers. That is why we have the course, if you need any help please reach out to me and Ill do what I can to help you. Id strongly suggest you switch to SIM and find a proven system before risking more of your hard earned money.
If your indicators are wrong 90% of the time that's just as valuable as being right 90% of the time. Just do the opposite of what they indicate
You need a better title to this video, it does not show 'How to' - rather it assumes the viewer knows quite a lot about the topic. I'm looking to learn and will search your videos for a proper, 'How to.'
Then I'd suggest you watch our 10 part series on price action.
Forex just makes more sense it feels like. You can still trade sp500.
Do what works best for you, system works on fx as well.
I would pass on that chart. It's going sideways, no trend, so you are basically just guessing. No thanks.
Thanks for watching!
This whole thing just looked like gambling to me
Lucky as fuck. This dude prays alot in his trades. Worst entry ever
This isn’t really a how-to, it’s a trade recap
