How about mega projects for high speed rail. The way to do it is mostly through private investment. Try not to do it through the federal government.
The revenue that comes in should be divided between the investors .

At 1:02:00 you talk about Bostons Lite Rail project which actually is installing old heavy rail cars confined to a double iron rail configuration made popular 2 centuries ago, actually look wayyy out of place on concrete bridges. Don’t you agree? I mean monorails are hella cheaper to build than these concrete bridges which require more strength than Interstate bridges because of the sheer weight of this old technology Boston is embracing. Simply said, Lite Rail has copied all the advantages monorail technology has used since Walt Disney proved its capabilities in the late 1950s & Seattle for their 1962Worlds Fair, but there in Boston & there in Houston, and there even in tech savvy Seattle…. Billions are being wasted to hoist these heavy trains up into the air & call them “sky bridges”? The only thing up in the sky is our final bill trust me. The cost to make heavy rail appear to be as efficient as monorail is staggering. In Seattle building a regional line costs BILLIONS compared to how much Las Vegas, Disney, or Malaysia has ever come close to spending to move tourists around. Make no mistake this was a horrible decision made by Boston& it’s technology which has been replaced by better ways. Calling it high-speed railway is not just a lie, it’s a total joke. High speed rain has no rail. It resembles MONORAIL more than heavy rail. Simply said there is no technology to keep heavy rail glued to its iron rails. It can’t travel safely beyond 90mph & in Seattle where engineers have invented these claw-like apparatus to grab the iron rails as the heavy trains drive over a floating bridge susceptible by swaying ,options of a boat. Excuse me? Yes, they are planning to put heavy rail onto a floating bridge built for semi trucks which are actually lighter than heavy rail trains. He’s, hold on passengers because that train has claws to hold onto the tracks so the train will not derail and fall to the bottom of Lake Washington. These claws not only protect you from death, it is probably the most ridiculous example of government waste of tax dollars ever envisioned, so far $165-billion spent & still not done & the new rail line is done but nothing on it & duh… why is that? You simply can not re-engineer old technology onto modern technology without inflating costs. Monorail technology could have placed monorails on a floating bridge. Never has their ever been a monorail derailed. It’s virtually impossible. But Seattle’s Lite Rail supporters hated monorail & after winning a bitter election feud in 1995 by lieing to voters claiming old rail was safer than monorail, they won, & have refused to use anything that might look like monorail. It has cost Seattle more money than was spent to build the first atomic bomb, or to send men to the Moon. Trust me, old technology is bad technology.

When you assimilated CANADA into this video, which is not a part of the UNITED STATES, your “title” became obsolete. However,I did not find that primarily as a comment worth mentioning until 2:32:00 when you ran out of Canadian projects& then went to Indonesia. Hello? Do you know why titles were invented? Sure you can slip in Canada, even Mexico, why not? Both should be part of the United States simply to take power away from the American Bible Belt & Slave Loving Texas & other racist states. But throwing in Indonesia? Excuse me? Do people live there?

57:00 “Let’s move over to the United States where the…” excuse me? Doesn’t the video title proclaim UNITED STATES? Why am I being reminded at 57:00 ? Oh, forgot, you were in Houston, Texas a city which will go down in history as a small band of American rebels not liking the direction Mexicans are going by creating more Liberal laws such as declaring slavery illegal & not recognizing Texas claim as an independent nation, Houston is the city named after the man Mexico authorities placed a bounty on, Sam Houston, & also wanted to enforce Mexican law by ensuring Slaves (imported from the USA) were free immigrants & were not used as slaves & were working up to a full force invasion of Texas to enforce law & arrest Sam Houston. That endeavor failed after Texas begged the American government for help to fight off the LAW which Congress was reluctant to get any more involved by declaring war for an impoverished slave loving country which legally wasn’t really a country anyways, I mean they had no international support or recognition. However, President Polk who won a campaign of “54/40 or FIGHT” said if elected would go to war to take all of the Columbia District (today: the southern part British Columbia, a Canadian Province) as our manifest destiny to take any land as we damn well please to take. He was willing to War for what became the states of Washington, Oregon, MONTANA, Idaho, & WYOMING & compromised by splitting the territory in half. But here was Texas, their President sure to lose his head after his arrest, & President Polk, a good standing southerner, as dumb as any come for the time, figured why not? Meanwhile… Mexico, unprepared for a full force invasion from the American military was suddenly & utterly defeated & surrendered their entire new nation of Mexico to the USA… which back in Washington DC the racist Congress was not very pleased about accepting Mexico’s unconditional surrender as it would force every brown skinned Mexican to become American citizens protected by the constitution & how could you tell the difference what skin color was free & which skin color was property? The Americans took Texas & everything west of Texas & allowed the Mexican government to go back to normal south of Texas, California, & points in-between. President Polk was probably the worst man to be in power at a time Mexico would have freed slaves within Texas borders 2 decades before Texas was invaded for their audacity to SUCCEED from the USA simply for the legality of slavery do they even exist as an American state & because of this Americans moved westward slaughtering indigenous tribes along the way especially in California where Sacramento paid cash for Indigenous scalps, less for Mexican scalps… despite the wars treaty guaranteeing Mexicans on such land full rights & citizenship of the US Constitution, California as well as Texas refused to honor those conditions & an unofficial policy of extermination was unleashed. Of course I had to end my comment with the truth, which most Americans have no knowledge of.

You claim $11-billion 1:26:00 as one of the most expensive. What does $165-billion represent? Because that is how much Sound Transit is in process of spending for their rail project located in Seattle. Sorry. Don’t blame me.

hopefully USA remains as is and stays away from Canada & south America. Sad to say but that country looks like its collapsing on itself. Poverty, economy, ratio of inequality, gun laws, murders, no free healthcare, poorly managed public funds speak pretty loud to be kept at bay. You can't just measure worth by looking at GDP and rows of numbers that serve a bigger picture with charts but shy away from the truth of most men on the street. Businesses have failed because they were meant for a short term profit, malls are abandoned all over the place, govnmt does nothing at all to deal with big pharma ruining so many lives in large cities with widespread addiction, it's just sad, crazy, but entertaining to watch.

Just like NASA, before Elon calculated out of curiosity ; why there was such a gap between actual costs vs price of materials to build and launch a rocket and with SpaceX launched a whole other era when it comes to space exploration. VS -to name one- Boeing outsourcing it's engineering meanwhile milking every penny at the country's titty for decades.
