Bootuz has beautiful power... His first set is so intricate... down the the claps... The second set makes me think he has somewhat of a gymnast or martial arts background... its sick...
when ronnie came to vegas and i got to watch from two feet away,(of course i didn't battle him) but it was amazing. this was last year i think. plus he's gotten soooo much better now. in this vid he is still kinda raw in his style
I totally agree with you. Power moves are necessary but ORIGINALITY wins me over all the time. The only time I enjoy power moves is "how" they go into it or what the do immediately after, the follow up. Style is so important. When I watch guys do a basic boring uprock into a power move I feel like falling asleep. That was a really good battle, edited, but both guys were good! Hard to judge who won in my opinion.
1/2 I completely agree. Bootuz crushed him. What I don't understand is how ground work can be so superior or even on the same floor as power moves. In a lot of battles, we see powermoves being shot down by groundwork. But, why? Those guys doing groundwork have not mastered some kind of powermove status and proceeded on to floorwork; yet their moves are superior? I think people that excel at both really make the statement. In this particular battle, ronnie showed nearly no powermoves.
You ever heard someone say "its not the move its the groove". Meaning its not necessarily what you do...But how you do it. There are alotta bboys who do beginner level moves and blow up from em.
this song makes me wanna robot! Yeah bootuz didn't take enough chances. He only did moves he knew how to do. Ronnie danced whatever he felt like doing his his flow was way better. Bootuz had some cool tricks though.
2/2 Whereas, Bootuz had the romance to which floorwork might appeal. If not romance, what else would groundwork claim that is above and beyond powermoves? I think Bootuz displayed both power and elegance. Whereas Ronnie's performance catered to something choppier and skinnier and machine-like. I sometimes wonder what the hell the standards are and why groundwork is held so highly?!
sorry to interrupt but bootuz has alot of air moves and he used a foolish trick, that's breaking in white pants it makes you see his breaking better and shit... while ronnie was with a regular jeans... Also I would like to add that not how the breaking looks but the moves you do the sequences and shit, what bootuz does is get a kcik and carries on with it so it's rhythm well you prolly can't understand this cause you don't break so yeah The ones who break will understand this :P
there is no truth about a battle, depends on what you like, that's why judges sometimes go against most of peoples choice. Here i found Bootuz clearly took it, even if Ronnie is fucking good and everybody knows it. But I wont claim that Bootuz won and insult all who say that Ronnie destroyed him or whatever. In this kind of battle, in BC ONE, bboys are always (almost) insane, so it's quite hard to tell except when they crash or blackout, dont argue for nothing guys, insults on youtube...
the thing a tbootuz is he has nice technique but first hes to slow and his sets are very simple he had to know that he cant win with this against ronnie
i dont know guys but i think ronnie's style is shit...bootuz did it much better, only with the execution of his airflare and the one-handed swipe he deserves to win... only i have to agree, idk how old bootuz is, but looks like a kid.
i can justsayronnie shouldnt come to final....i dont even like his style...he came so arr just coz hes usa....lets be real...the end should won against him....

it depends on who your battling... styles can kill a person but power with nice styles can own!!
