I still love OMG and continue to collect them but when they are on sale. I am trying to collect every doll, but I’ve been taking it verrrry slow lol. The OMG line will always be a work of art to me💜

As a new doll collector who just got into fashion dolls, like Monster High, Ever After High, and Bratz since they were kind of expensive around that time I felt like OMG and Rainbow High were the perfect substitute for the nostalgia, I love OMG the designs, the detail and just overall everything was pretty amazing. I did feel like around 2021 to 2022. They did start going downhill with the window packaging kind of ruining the whole surprise feature and dressing up part and some of the designs were not the greatest but regardless, I still love them. I do feel like around the same time everybody started ditching LOL Surprise and Rainbow High for Monster High comeback and there’s nothing wrong with that but it is kind of sad OMG didn’t have that longevity that we all thought it would. I could see an MGA discontinuing it to focus on the tots again and make them more popular again but I’m hopeful they won’t because the OMG just means so much to me. They were the first doll line that I’ve ever collected and it just brings me so much nostalgic enjoyment.
Love LOL Surprise OMG and Tweens. New collectors of those brands and hope they are not going away. I enjoy it when you ramble. :)
I really can appreciate LOL dolls and their look but they never really have drawn me in to buy one. MGA focusing more on Bratz is something I’ll always be 100% in on lol

I can appreciate the fashion & themes from different OMG lines, but never even came close to buying them. I think MGA really should focus on Bratz & building the brand’s legacy again to compete with Barbie, & increasing the budget.. if they need to make cuts, I’d support that to be fully honest (sorry OMG fans😅). Their faces/ clothes color palettes just don’t appeal to me the same way Bratz do. But I can see how they’d catch a younger audience’s eye :)
Omg is kinda better than Bratz imo. Bratz is diverse I guess, but omg has TONS of diversity especially in skin tone, hair types and styles. Bratz is diverse but , I feel omg is just so RICH
Totally! I feel like they can all co-exist with different target audiences, but taking into account we don’t want over-saturation. I really hope they rebuild Bratz even more!
I think OMG came up in a time where retailers are more open to diversity and the extravagant designs/concepts that the line has provided, whereas Bratz was coming up in a Barbie-dominated market with no successful competitors beforehand. I think Bratz could deliver a lot more if given the proper chance in today’s market!

@@LookinBratz I agreed. There was no other doll lines have came on top over Barbie…which Bratz finally did back in those days. I remember when I first saw it back in 2001, it spoke to me because I used to played with Barbies starting in 1963…when I was only four years old. Sadly, my mom didn’t saved all my dolls while growing up til I was 14. So when I first saw Bratz for first time, I introduced my daughter to play with Bratz…I saved all these dolls when she outgrown them….plus it started my first doll collection.
My budgeting is all going to Bratz and your hair looks great by the way

Same here…I stop collecting LOL OMG and Tweens since end of 2023. I start running out of room for them, too. When I saw their articulation of their hands changed to non articulation wrists,, I made tough decisions to end by 2023. I am completist- already completed the whole line since it first came out. I am more focused on Bratz lines now…trying to complete my favorite lines but they are becoming more expensive now. I am hoping they will continue to do more reproductions as same time with new Always Bratz line. I completed RH slime dolls and Rainbow Junior PJ line that has no articulated wrist that it might be my last time continuing collecting this line, too as my fanfare to end my collection. I have 4 original 14” Poopsie Rainbow high doll as introduction starting my collection of RH dolls. Bratz has been my always number one doll line because that’s how I first start collecting them back in 2001. I am very happy to see them coming back.❤🔥❤🔥

I love OMG, particularly the Tweens. I'm disappointed about the loss of articulation and the stands in the latest series. However, the quality of the clothing and the dolls are still amazing. I'm not a completionist so I'm just getting the ones from each series that I really love. Not having enough space is helping me not get completely out of control. 😅
Okay so as an og omg collector I have seen a drastic change in the brand that has made me worry a bit but still have hopes for especially for the boys line it was very much a yes from me from tot’s to omgI’m still sad (as well praying )for them to release the Fierce candy and kitty like please lord but we didn’t get a collectors doll last year as well so let’s hope they can scale down the mass production I think would help
Personally I only buy OMG for the clothes at this point.
I know this is unrelated but I’m super curious so my series 3 Felicia that I bought yesterday has a sticker on the back of her box covering up where it says she comes with “a pair of sunglasses” do you think that mine might be a variant doll? Or a just a variant box? Or do you think it’s some other third thing going on?
It was a misprint on earlier batches of Felicia, so they just covered it with a sticker!

Which ones had poly? I got quite a few of the tweens surprise swap dolls and they have really nice nylon hair
